What time do FPs run out during busy season?

I read that RSR runs out about 90 minutes after opening. What about the rest of the FP rides (at both DL and DCA)? Will there be FPs available after 6pm? After 8pm?

TIA

It depends on the ride but all of them usually last at least until 1PM. Some can last until after 8PM. Realize though that a FP obtained right before they run out have a return window late at night.

Thanks! We plan to take a swim/nap break in the afternoon so we hope to hang in there until close to the end of the night. A lot will depend on how quickly we get over the time change.

we were just there beginning of May and the FP for RSR were gone within 90mins......but the line was 90mins long, so if you weren't in line at rope drop you didn't get a FP. It was very busy that week!

Is a FP necessary for RSR? I know without it we'd be standing in line forever waiting to go on. But how much of a wait are we really talking about? And is there a single rider line? We'd be more then willing to do that to speed up the wait.

Without FP or SR (which is available), you're probably looking at 90 minutes or more almost all day long.

Forgive me but I'm still learning all the initialed abbreviations. What is SR?

I answered my own question.

SR= Single Rider

Thank you!

Are you saying the line to get FP was 90 minutes long?

When I was there in April, the standby was 2 hours and single rider was 75 minutes. It was because the ride had broken down and just reopened. The fp line for those with fp was 90. We finally made it on the ride and it broke down. We were evacuated from the ride. We were given fp for the ride to ride when it was back up, but figured the fp line would be really crazy. We are going back in July. Hopefully we will get to ride it then.

Yes, the FP line for RSR can be that long.

The FP Distribution line will never be that long. I believe you mean the FP return line and that only gets that long if RSR breaks down for a long time that day. Otherwise it tends more to 20-30 minutes in my experience.

Does anyone know about BTMR? I know two years ago we got some around 7 pm and my ridemax plans have me getting one around 8 pm. Thoughts?

So it sounds like for a solo traveler it's better to just go single rider line and not worry about the mad dash for a FP in the morning? How's the standby queue - well themed? Always hate missing the queues but don't really like standing in line for 90 or more minutes.

We arrived at DCL on Monday, May 17 about 11:00 and RSR FP's were gone (not sure how long the sign had already been up). We went directly to the ride and waited over 30 minutes for single-rider** (stand by was over 120 minutes at that point). Tons of obvious larger groups in line with us. It seems the single-rider trick is a pretty poorly kept secret! :goodvibes

**bear in mind this was NOT high season and the rest of the park wasn't bad for crowds at all. We walked on to Mater & Luigi.

Hi. OP here. Does anyone have any info about what time FP typically run out for rides OTHER than RSR? I think that FP situation is pretty well documented but what an out the rest?

So, correct me if I'm wrong. If I get a RSR fast pass that has an evening return time, I can't get any other fast pass in the park the rest of the day? (besides ones that are independent) What if you got a fast pass that was in the evening and decided you didn't want it? Is there a way to 'cancel' it?

RSR is not connected to any other FP that I am aware of. (Someone correct me if I am wrong). Usually on other FP there will be a time listed saying when you can grab your next FP. So you can have a RSR and another FP at the same time.

This is not how Fastpass works. Firstly I believe RSR Fastpass is disconnected meaning you MAY be able to get one right away for another attraction. If this is not the case , typically you can get another FastPass for another ride approximately 2 hours later. If you look at the bottom of the Fastpass it clearly states when another Fastpass will be available.

Just because the return time is late does not mean you are locked out of Fastpasses until then. It is simply your return time in which that particular one will be valid. You can get other Fastpasses but keep in mind that you can only get one once every 2 hours or so.
