Ok so were having a custom wedding at 10am.
I was curious what time those of you woke up to get ready.
Also where did you get ready at?
I plan on doing my own makeup.
My grandmother used to be a beautician so she's doing my hair.
And were getting our nails an suff done the day before.
I know we get a ready room but should i get my hair and stuff done in my hotel room before I get to the ready room?
I'm so confused.
Its getting so close less than a month!
Woot!

I can't be of much assistance on this one, we had an afternoon Intimate ceremony, but I will tell you that it took a lot longer to get everything together than I anticipated. I didn't want to be rushed, and I wasn't, but I got up at 9:00 am for our 3:00 pm ceremony! We are not morning people and I can only imagine if we'd done the 9:00 or 11:00 am ceremony I would have been up at 5:00 am and cranky all day. That was one of the many reasons we didn't do the MK photo shoot - up before the sun? No thank you!

We didn't have a "getting ready" room so me, MOH, MIL, and my best friend all got our hair done and got dressed in my "honeymoon" room, and my daddy was there for part of the time too. Thankfully WL rooms aren't too small :rotfl:

I'm sure other morning Custom brides can give you better time advice . . .

Yeah I dont usualy have a problem waking up in the morning.
Its going to be funny though our officiant is a friend of ours and he usualy doesnt wake up till like 1 *laughs*
Guess we'll have to make sure he goes to bed early.
Hehehehe

you must be a morning person im typically not, if my wedding was at 10am i might have been late. our wedding was at 1pm. i woke up at 9am hair & make up started around 9:30 & my dress steaming, had breakfast & then prewedding photos around 11:15am. we got ready in our room at the yc.

Early wedding was cheeper. hehe
That and I am a morning person usualy my DF isnt though Hehehe we'll se how that goes.
I doubt he'll sleep. hehehe

I had a 9am wedding. We got up at 445, Serena Nichole was arriving at 530, she was an HOUR late. I took a relaxing bubble bath and then got ready in my mom's villa. We were ready to go at 830.

i had tried to contact serena about doing my consmotology but she never contacted me back- I wonder if she is still doing it?

I was up at 7:15am for my 11:00am wedding. I had my dress steaming and hair & make-up arrive at 9:00am. I had to have my groom up, ready, and out the door before anyone arrived. My Mom came over to my room and I was ready to go at 10:45am. My Mom kept in contact with my Dad & groom to know when the limo arrived, where they were, etc...so we knew exactly how much time we had left! :thumbsup2

Hmmmm...
Well, she did say she wanted to move to Atlanta, so I'm not sure. :confused3
She did my hair & make-up in June and she always got back to me right away. We only communicated through e-mail and I called her the day before my wedding when I had arrived to WDW to get her my room #.

You know the hours just fly by. I was up at 7.15 for my 3pm wedding.
I had nails done at Periwigs at 8am, then back to the room at 10 for the start of our hair and makeup and to get everything ready. Trust me it whizzes by, I just can't think what we did for all that time, but I was almost late!! Mind you the dress steamer took all of the five bridesmaid dresses out of their bags to be checked over and didn't put them back by each bag. They were all mixed up and 3 of them are similar sizes. That probably took us over an hour to sort out. Plus I got a frantic phone call from H2B saying Tuxes had been lost at Bell services. They turned up half an hour before the wedding!!!
I was ready for 2.45 anyway, but you never know how things are going to turn out, so have plenty of time.

We had a 9 am wedding with pictures beforehand. My hair and makeup lady came at 5am to get started. I had pictures with my hubbie (just us and my neice until 7:30) and then pictures at the site until the guests arrived around 8:30. It was an EARLY, but busy morning.

I had a 10 am custom wedding. I was up and going by 5am. I believe my appointment for makeup and hair was at 6am. The Groom started pictures at 8 or so. They aimed to have me ready for photos by 8:30 am. Your EM will tell you about what time you have to be at the room where you will be getting ready and they will also arrange the photo times (if I remember correctly) We got married on 02/02/02 and there were either 11 or 12 other weddings on property. I would put alot of faith in Disney they know the best time table for your wedding time!

Getting ready rooms used to be based on availability but now I believe it is around a $500.00 charge and a small food and beverage minimum last I heard.
You will need to get ready in your room. If you are refering to the bride's vestibule at the WP that is not a getting ready room , more of a holding room where you can touch up makeup etc. a few minutes prior to the ceremony.
You will need to get ready in your room.

Reading through this thread, I have such admiration for y'all with morning ceremonies who are getting up at (to me) ungodly hours...it makes me more than ever want a later in the afternoon ceremony. Although I know that when the day rolls around, I probably won't be able to sleep anyway!

I wanted an early wedding because I couldn't imagine having to get up and wait around to get ready for the wedding! That would drive me crazy and the anticipation would be killing me! I wanted to wake up and have it happen as soon as possible. I'm a very impatient person...hehe! :yay:

Normally I am not a morning person. I really wanted to get married at the UK Rose Garden, and we had kids in the wedding so we had no other choice than an early morning wedding. In May we lucked out! We did it before the heat of the day. It was a beautiful cool morning. That worked out famously!
