What time can you get a FP for GRR?

Since GRR FP machines are tied up for WOC in the morning what time do they start giving out FPs for the ride?
I like to do GRR right before we head back to the hotel for our afternoon break ( we always get soaked! ) so I'd like to able to time it out for our schedule but right now that is seeming hard to do.
Am I the only one slightly annoyed with WOC?

We just returned. A CM told us that you cannot receive a GRR Fastpass until all the Fastpasses for WOC have been distributed. We were able to get Fastpasses for GRR after 2:00 p.m.

You're definitely not the only one who is annoyed. This totally messes up the 5 day Itinerary that I've spent weeks on! Ugh! We leave in 2 weeks and now I will have to re-do 4 days of my schedule. Soooooooooo annoying.

On Saturday, it was after 4:30 before fastpasses were available. It was warm and the standby line was 45 minutes. WOC is making DCA a lot more difficult to plan.

They have been distributing fastpasses for all 3 WOC shows. They do not seem to completely run out until at least 3:30, often later. There was a brief window on Sunday afternoon when Grizzly was showing a fastpass return time of 3 PM. They were again distributing WOC fastpasses at that time though after just having announced the addition of the 3rd show. Maybe they briefly switched to GRR fastpasses then switched back when the 3rd show was added? Or it was just a glitch? We don't know since we weren't attempting to get fastpasses for either at that time of the day. It was kind of a bummer not to be able to get GRR fastpasses though. My family ended up riding only once because we only had 2 full days in the parks this time, and there were a lot of things we wanted to do.

yep that is true! it even says it under the FP info on the disneyland webstie for WOC.

I wish they'd put the WOC fast passes elsewhere...not being able to grab a GRR FP on a hot day just isn't cool.

i'd wis that they stop issuing FP's till they run out as it stands right now that is what is happening, i think a time frame would be nice. like stop issuing FP's after x amount of time no matter how many are left for each showing! that way the ones that want to ride GRR with a FP can on a hot day! and um if you live here in california well summer has started and it's been hot!!

We did this last Tuesday. I think it was early afternoon, and I'm not sure if WOC were gone yet, but we had no problems going right through the FP line.

Yes, we used our GAD passes. The fastpass return was roped off so we walked through the exit where it says "Single rider entrance". The CM loaded us on a raft immediately.

I didn't see what the posted standby wait time was, but it looked packed! It was pretty hot, too, I think it was after lunch so the hottest part of the day. I was so happy to be able to pass all those people and get on the ride almost immediately.

Yesterday afternoon the stand by line was 60 minutes. The whole WOC FP thing totally messed up our GRR riding. We were told they wouldn't sell out FPs for the 3rd show until around 4 or 5 pm on Saturday!!

We tried to get GRR FP on WoC opening weekend with no luck. On June 12 at around 3:00pm, the board showed a 30 mins wait and the actual wait time was only 15 mins. On June 13 at around 1:30pm, the boards shows a 45 mins wait and the actual was 30 mins.

We did talk to a CM at the DVC cart and she offered us GRR FP if we do a DVC tour.

If all else fails and you can't get a FP but want to ride without the longer wait don't forget they have a single rider line. My DD10 uses this when she wants to go and I don't. Sometimes if you are a party of 2 you'll still get to ride together. You can get the single rider pass from the CM at the entrance. Then you go through the exit to ride.

We were at CA today and got FP for Grizzly about 3-ish. They were distributing WOC FP from the exit line of GRR and distribuing GRR from the entrance side. CM were actually working the FP machines -- my DH thinks that might be so that there aren't unintential FP mistakes between WOC and GRR. We don't know if this is how it was set up since morning but we were delighted to get GRR FP this afternoon.

Why couldn't they have both kinds of FastPasses going at the same time - all the time if that is the case then?
I mean, maybe they could just hand out the FastPasses for WoC manually for a while to get the line down... and that way there could be both types all day?
