What time are you going to Target on Black Friday?

We don't want any of the big electronics stuff, just some sheets and some closthes and 1 other item. We will probably get there about 20 minutes early, if that. I haven't been out on Black Friday in a long time. It is the only store I am going to, then back home to hide!

DD15 and I scouted out the store this afternoon to locate the 4 things we wanted so we have a game plan. Hopefully it works!

I'm not sure yet, but I'm leaning toward later in the day. Last year, I went around 8pm, after the kids went to bed, and got everything I wanted, plus the store was pretty empty. And I have the spend $150, get $15 gift card coupon, which is basically the same as the spend $100/$10 gift card offer good until 10am, but without the rushing and getting up early.

A few years ago, I went to the mall on Black Friday. It was after I had knee surgery; I was on my way to PT. People were so rude to someone on crutches and I ended up leaving without buying anything. Really changed my view on Black Friday... is it really worth all the stress?

Goodwill is opening at 7am. Maybe I'll hit that instead. They said they are saving their best stuff, lol!

DD just brought in the mail and Target sent a holiday book with a card for a 15 dollar gift card with 150.00 purchase. Anyone know if I can use this on Friday morning and get the 10 dollar door buster one plus the 15 dollar one?

I got one also and am wondering the same thing??:confused3 Anyone know?

I must be going to wrong places. Where we are if you are not in line, you don't get in the store. Lines extend outside well after opening.

Probably not. The lines are lengthy. But when I have a more important earlier opening to get to, then I do the above for Target. 5
minted after opening is what I shot for. Since I am late---there isn't any additional issue with me standing patiently by the front door until the line clears. Staff usually doesn't have an issue if we acknowledgethat we aren't cutting. Saves me a long walk. Once the line rolls, it actually clears pretty quickly.

When I want a specific item that I predict will be hot, then I don't do that. I would like the digital frame, so it looks like a 3 am
arrival for me :).

I'm nervous about this. I keep getting told to go different times. I really need that TV for my new house.

Over on the community board someone posted a thread about the tv at Target...said their Target has only two of them for the sale!

It will vary by location but I haven't heard many say there are only a few TVs. Most I have seen say between 20 up to 80 or so. This TV isn't even a Doorbuster so tbh it shouldn't sell out in 2 seconds but its an amazing deal and def one of the best deals this BF.

I already bought the TV and waiting for a price adjust that I am praying goes smoothly. I do plan on getting in line around 1:30 or so after I buy some Dvds from Walmart to get that adjust and if they turn me down I might be able to grab another TV and just return this one.

I would think if you get in line by midnight you're almost certainly going to get one. Assuming they have sufficient stock which they should.

Its an older TV that wasn't even rly sold in stores in recent memory. Plus someone else mentioned they might get another stock shipment Friday night.

I'm considering getting there as they open or at least doing a drive by. Interested to see how crowds are where I live. I live in a pretty small town, so I don't know if most people go to one of the larger towns for their Black Friday shopping. I am thinking of picking up a couple of toys for DS if they have them in stock. If they aren't no biggie. I went out and had fun.

Well I'm wanting the Xbox, I had planned on getting in line an hour or two early BUT now the weather here in Ky is supposed to be sleet and COLD! So now I'm just going to buy the Xbox at BestBuy online tomorrow and will just cross my fingers for Friday, probably won't head to Target until around 8am and if I get the Xbox I'll just return the one from Best Buy. I really want the one from Target though because of the $50+$10 giftcard and I'll get the 5% off.

I'm shooting on getting there before 3am because of all the door-buster deals. Specifically, I'm going to try to get my nephew a PSP for xmas, and $130 is a price that can't be beat. Plus, it gives me an excuse to get him more Disney stuff (Kingdom Hearts). I actually work at a company affiliated with Sony, so I've had a chance to try it out, and I know he'll love it, but I sure hope he appreciates me standing in line before the coffee has had a chance to settle in :surfweb:

I wanted the $67. Wii fit bundle, but Amazon has it for $74. and I had a $5. G/C from Swagbucks and got free shipping! So, I ordered it from Amazon and maybe now can sleep a little longer!:rotfl::confused3:rotfl:

I hope so. I wasn't planning to go out at all, but DH wants that Garmin GPS for $159. I just don't know if I should go out at opening or if I can sleep in for a bit?:confused3

This is my first time doing BF in stores. I live VERY close to Target, and also to Kohls (which opens at 3 a.m.) At Kohls I just want to try to get the Mr. Potato Head TS3 set for $12.99 (I bought it at $21.99 and will return it if I get this one, if not no biggie)...then I will get to Target before 4 and am just trying to get Lego Battles for DS and the Night At The Museum II DVD for $7 each - I bought the DS game at Kohls also for $14.99 and will return it if I get this one.

As it turns out I will be going to TRU at 9 tonight to try to get an MP3 player DH wants (it's NOT the IPod so hopefully I'll snag it), and they have Night At The Museum II for $7.99 so if I get it there I'll just skip that at Target and focus on the DS game.

I intend to get up at 2, do Kohls and then Target, and be back in bed by 5. Good luck to all of us!

I did most of my shopping today online, Amazon and Disney (they have 20% and free shipping everything). I will hit Target early, because I have to be at work at Kohl's by 9 am!

BTW I got a TomTom XXL 550 with lifetime traffic and maps for $129 on Amazon with free shipping!

I have two of the $15 off $150 coupons. I am also wondering if I'll get the doorbuster one. If I'm parking it in front of the store at 1:30 a.m. I should get it!

Going to hit WalMart tonight at midnight since I want sheets and towels. Saw that Target has 700 thread count sheets for $30. Not sure what time to get there to get those sheets. It's not really a big ticket item so I'm just not sure. I really need sheets and those higher thread count ones for $20 or $30 would be nice.

Decided to skip Kohls because it turns out that the lower price on the Potato Head set involves a mail-in rebate (WTH? Kohls never does that!) I'm sure they're all gone now.

I DID get the DS game I wanted at Target for $7, and also a firebowl for $29 (half price) which is really nice! And I was back in bed by 5 a.m. Now I need to steel myself to return the other game to Kohls. I think I'll wait till Monday before I go near the place. ;)
