The ads say it opens at 4 am. What time are you going? I really want that TV for $298!

It really depends. I'm in a new area and I am a bit anxious about if things are more wild here. My 10yo is going with me for the first time. Hoping to pick up a digital frame for DH. But I'm not willing to put ourselves in danger to get it.

But usually, I'm okay with getting to a place at opening and standing to the side as the line goes in. So 4:05ish?

My Mom wants the TV. She is willing to camp out for a few hours for it. I guess we are going early.

I must be going to wrong places. Where we are if you are not in line, you don't get in the store. Lines extend outside well after opening.

Probably around midnight, there are two big items I think we'll be getting at Target that we are willing to wait for.

If you're going for the $298 tv get there really early. One of my foster children works at Target and their stuff started coming in (she works the overnight shift and does stocking). They have 5 of the 40" tvs.

DH and I have done target first on black Friday the past few years and we get there just before opening and just walk to the end of the line and follow the line in without a problem. We have always gotten what we wanted. Just make sure you walk to the end of the line cause if you stand at the door waiting for the end of the line you are going to be waiting a while as the line continue to grows as people join the end to get in. Police keep line jumpers way. We are hoping the weather will keep the lines down this year.

I don't want the electronic doorbusters but a lot of their clothes are on a great sale! I still haven't decided if I'm going to brave it. There are 3 Targets near me and 2 of them are much bigger. I think if I go I'll take my chances with the smaller Target and hope most people go to the bigger ones.

is the tv one pr person or could the first person in line buy them all? Does target hand out tickets?

3:40 am, baby!

(I cashier)

Be nice, folks! :thumbsup2

I will!:thumbsup2 I hate when people are nasty on black friday-noone is making you get up in the middle of the night to go shopping! I will be going around 4ish-not looking for too much-hoping to get Toy story3 and some jeans and nightgowns for dd.Oh also the leapfrog cake toy for my ds's first b-day.I go because I like to-my dh stays with the kids and it gets me in the mood for Christmas.Nasty people and people that act like animals pushing through others should have their discount privledges taken away!Good luck and I hope everyone is nice to you!

DD just brought in the mail and Target sent a holiday book with a card for a 15 dollar gift card with 150.00 purchase. Anyone know if I can use this on Friday morning and get the 10 dollar door buster one plus the 15 dollar one?

I think the TVs should be one per person, if I read correctly the ad says "Limit 1 per guest except in ID or NM."

I'm nervous about this. I keep getting told to go different times. I really need that TV for my new house.

Over on the community board someone posted a thread about the tv at Target...said their Target has only two of them for the sale!

it's hard because different Targets will have different amounts of product. Last year while waiting in line, the person behind us wanted a certain toy. One of the employees walking the line told her that there was only one available and there were at least 20 people ahead of us. I don't think she ended up getting it. But on the other hand my mom and I were in the store for at least an hour or more after they opened and when we left they still had a whole slew of tv's left. So I guess it all depends on the store. We will get there at 3:00 but we don't want electronics. Just toys and movies and other miscellaneous things.

One year I was in line (about 20 minutes before they opened) and someone came down with tickets for the TV that was being offered that year. I was pretty far down the line and was surprised that they had them still left.

Last year, I was at another Target and got there about 30 minutes before. I wasn't that far from the front and all the TVs were gone.

So, I think it just depends??

I will be there at 3:45. I will be cashiering. I was at our store this afternoon and they already had the $5.00 pajama pants out and for sale. We will be going back later to see if the kids pjs are out.
