What time are you going to Target on Black Friday?

Got one of the $295. 40" tvs last night. Just for future reference...we got there at about 11:45 pm, we were #30 in line. There was a target employee who was in line in front of us who said there were 30 of the $295. tvs. Some folks who got there at 12:15 missed getting one. We sat in chairs in the rain, and it was totally worth it  my son is playing Xbox with it right now, and he say's it's perfect. We live in the Chattanooga, TN area, and people are arriving earlier and earlier each year. Several years ago it was okay to get there one and a half hours before opening; now, not so much. If we had waited until later there would have been no point.

I got one too! I didn't get in line until about 3 am. Our target doesn't hand out tickets or maps. I have a foster child who works there who told me they were all stacked at the end of the women's clothing aisle. A lot of people made a mad dash for electronics, probably thinking that's where they were.

I got the $298 TV too!

We got to target about 8:30pm or so on Thanksgivings night and we were also around 30th in line at my local store. Wasn't really all that hopeful about getting a TV, thought we'd be to far back in line since it seemed like everyone else in line was there for the same thing, but thankfully we got one since locally Target had about 30-40 of the TVs. We sat out front of Target for nearly 7 hours, but we got the TV I wanted and the Casio keyboard my sister needed for my niece, so we are thrilled!

Target didn't hand out tickets, but maps were available online and they handed some out too, so I knew that the TVs would be around the maternity section which is a straight shot from the entrance, so it was a mad dash to the big ticket items. We were in and out of Target fairly quickly, walked right up to an open line with no waiting (which has never happened before), so that was great.

When I want a specific item that I predict will be hot, then I don't do that. I would like the digital frame, so it looks like a 3 am
arrival for me :).

Did you get the frame? Our store had a bunch on an end cap; they were all gone by 4:15 though. I watched them fly off the shelf!

Sorry--forgot to check on the thread.

I noticed that walmart had it in their ad, but at 5am. I went there at 11:30 to get other items and someone had opened the digital frame pallet. So I Did take one and when I Went to pay for my other purchases, I let the cashier know that I only brought it up b/c the pallet was open even though it wasn't supposed to be for sale until 5am. She scanned it and it rang up, so I got it.

At Target, my main focus was the Barbie scooter since I already had the frame...but they did sell out of the frame quickly (curiosity led me to asking an employee about it). I did get my 2 scooters despite them not being included with the pallet of razor scooters by the groceries like their map showed it would be. After 2 employers could do nothing but point me back to the pallet, I Found them in their usual location in the Toy dept/sporting goods and got the last 2. Brother selected that for his sisters for Christmas. (via the ad, he was not with me).

So I do have a frame, just not the one for Target. Though I feel a bit guilty of getting it out of the time frame. But I fessed up to the cashier who let me purchase it.:confused3 Walmart was like being on Survivor during an immunity challenge. :scared1:
