I'm going to disney in Nov. of this year and April of next. Have a time share, so should start to be going often.

What would be the best tickets to get?

I was thinking 10 day park hopper with no expiration.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

It will be cheaper for you to get an Annual Pass instead of a 10 day hopper no expiration if you are going 2 times in 12 months. The 10 Hopper no exp is approx $608 and the annual pass is approx $550. You will also get free parking at the parks if you stay offsite and other discounts.,

I agree with the previous poster. No expiration tickets are good if you plan to do several short trips (2-3 days) over a long period of time. Otherwise, you're usually better off with an AP.

My dd is going, most likely, with me in Dec for 4 days. Then, she is heading down in June with friends, for a 6 day graduation trip. She will get an AP. Must more cost effective.
If you weren't planning on returning within the 12 month period, but going in, say November of this year and then January of 2013, then I would go with a non-expiring 10 day hopper. That's what my dh normally does. But two trips within a 12 month period?? AP is the best way to go.

I'm thinking you should get an AP.

But go to touringplans.com

They have a thing where you answer a couple questions and then they tell you which ticket will be the cheapest and meet your needs.

definitely an AP. we're going in nov. and again in may 2012. we'll upgrade to the AP when we arrive in nov.

not to mention the free parking...(hello birthday weekend in jan. offsite!)

you get discounts too! :banana::banana::banana:

Gotta agree with the others: get AP's. a) It is probably slightly less expensive than the 10 day MYW tickets with park hopping, and b) There are discounts on rooms, merchandise and even dining in some cases with them. We did this one year when we went on two one-week trips to WDW, and it really saved us some money.

wow, thanks for the many and quick responses!

This site is the best.

I would consider an AP. We upgraded to AP's during our 8 night stay in June since we're going back in December for a 7 night stay, this was cheaper than buying tickets for each trip and we might be able to slip in another trip in June before they expire!

No Expiration tickets may make sense if you are planning two or more trips of no more than 10 days total over a period of more than a single calendar year. (puts on his Empire officer and warns General Tarkin) There is a danger...

Since you CANNOT upgrade a No Expire ticket after 14 days of first use, you will not be able to add days (and you can't add days beyond 10 anyways). So if the leftover days aren't enough for your next trip, you'll need another ticket - and getting another ticket to round out the trip will often result in you spending more than if you didn't get the NE option, and got a new ticket of the length of your other trip.

There are ways to make it work, but it is tough.
