what the?

This so called update is annoying as can be. I keep getting bombarded by a spyware hunting program that wont go away.
Is this how your financing this site now?

Every time i click on a thread to read it this thing pops up saying i need to update my browser or something. What is this??? I don't need to update my browser! Or is this just something we need to download to get this new message board to work correctly?

So Bright...arg..need to reload my avatar. Too bright and cannot turn it down.

I just found a "Dark Scheme" to change the background so it isn't glaring white. Up at the top, if you look you will see your user name. Hover over that (or maybe click on it?), and several options will come up. I just spent some time playing around with the options up there, and found that under "preferences" I could choose a new style. There's one there now that is "dark scheme" that is much easier on the eyes than the bright white. HTH!

UGH! I hate change! I guess I'll get used to it though. Do you still post pics the same was as on the old site?

I'm not a fan either. I know that I'll get used to it, but a lot of links and text have gone awry due to the changes. I don't mind change if it doesn't cause a lot of inconvenience. Take a look at the first page of my Christmas Superthread and Halloween Superthread -- notice all of the weird symbols and text and codes that have suddenly appeared in random links and paragraphs. Those were not there before. That means I must go through and fix all of them. Also, mvf-m11c (Bret) had included a lot of links in his TR installments that have now become inactive.

a005.jpg Does anyone else have a problem with the top of the page?
On my home PC, the top of the page has the royal blue band with Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland, DVC, Adventures by Disney, Hawaii and Universal. Right below that is a light blue band and I can't read the writing because the royal blue band is covering it. I've tried to resize things and nothing makes a difference.
When I check the website on my tablet, the royal blue band is fine and the light blue band with writing is perfect.
How do I get the same display on my home computer?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I did post this in the technical support section.

Not a fan of the new thread as well.

Oh gosh, sorry about that. I can't figure out how the quote thing works from my phone. Do I use "quote" or "reply". There is a learning curve here.

I have owned and run discussion forums since 2000 (my biggest site which I sold but am still an Admin on had over 30,000 members and 500,000 posts) and whenever there is a major change such as the software being used, there is a long period of adjustment, bug reporting and troubleshooting. But once that period has passed, most people will forget what the old software was like to use.

I know what it is like to change software on a "Big Board" which disboards.com is (check out the Big Boards website) and things like uploaded images may not be properly imported by the new software (as is apparent with XenForo thus far after leaving a very old version of vBulletin)

It is difficult to change after so many years, but I am sure that in time this XenForo board will become a old friend for site regulars.

I'm going to go ahead and move this to the Community Board (once I figure out how) for general discussion.

Lol ;)

For the mobile site, I so far cannot seem to use the rich text editor. If I try to do so I cannot type anything. so has to be plain. What on earth?

Sorry, but blah......

Most definitely need an app. I heard Pete talking about all the issues he had getting the app off the ground. He needs to get a pro bono company and have them charge a buck or two to get an app going and they split the profit.. The app was
Much better than this and is essentially a requirement even with responsive websites.

In my opinion, this thread should have been kept where I had originally posted. Here, it is like being on the back page

Anyone have tips for me on how to be able to view the writing in the section under the royal blue band?

You can see my problem in post above, I think its #29

Hit "reply" if you just want to quote that one specific post.

Hit "quote" if you want to do a multi-quote.

Okay, so I individually quote each post I want to add to the multi-quote? Let's see it I got it...

Woohoo...it worked, thanks!
