We were planning to try and get a cheap break away to turkey for a beach holiday but we're struggling to find much nice in the area we want so I looked at DLP for rough prices and found I cannot get a single room in cheyenne santa fe or SL on monday the 15th. Anyone have an idea whats going on? apparently they are all booked up.

I dont mind going tuesday but if its going to be packed may well reconsider. is it the last week of the brit school holidays? or a french school holiday? or just something else?

help much appreciated!

I don't know, but when we booked our break a couple of months ago we couldn't get a room in the Sequoia either, and we arrive on the 15th. It's still in the cheapest price bracket though, so I doubt its a national holiday or anything.......

ok so the english schools are back. the french schools are back. no public holidays... what the deuce is going on? :confused3

Is there any rennovation going on then? Maybe certain parts of the hotels are closed off and they've just sold all their room allocations?

My thoughts, or they're doing some kind of room survey or clean up or something??

Another thing to bear in mind is that the 15th isn't that far away, so it isn't too unbelivable that a lot of the rooms will have gone. I do think it seems a bit odd that all the rooms are gone though...........

It's a 4 for 3 / 5 for 4 week if I'm not much mistaken. We arrive on the night before (Sunday 14th) and certainly got this deal when we booked.

it isnt that deal now from what i can tell. which is a shame heh

We are staying over this period too and I was hoping it would be quiet on the Monday

It is a Scottish holiday weekend but I doubt that would make a huge difference

must be an inspection or something. oh well will have to chance it
