What on earth does this mean? How is Disney alienating "responsible parents"? And what does that even mean?

I just read about this. I was a little confused on the story though. Supposedly they were in line for Mickey's PhilharMagic, and a girl forgot her phone on her Scooter and left her family in line to go grab it, and then tried to come back and another family wouldn't let her thru to her family. This is where the story got confusing. (which I'm confused why anyone would fight over PhiharMagic line anyways.. you all pretty much get let in) After the show one of the families stood outside and confronted the other family and told them they didn't appreciate them pushing their sister. Which I'm not sure who's who in this. But then a fight broke out after that. One family member ended up with an injury and had to be sent away in an ambulance. One family got banned and the other got jailed, which I'm sure will end up in a ban as well.

But like I said, not sure who's who in the video. the article I read was confusing.

It was a maybe 3-5 min event but it seems like forever in the videos.

I feel so badly for any little kid that had to witness this, and for the parents that had to scurry their kids away from this kind of behavior.

It also took way to long for anyone that looks remotely like security to show up, who basically didn't do anything and looked scared to even remotely get involved. I thought there were plain clothes security around the parks. Probably doesn't want to hire people with actual security skills cause they cost more. Might as well have regular CM's who couldn't handle a fight with no training just try and tell them to stop it

I do too! And the kids of the family members who fought. I noticed on the back of the shirts, they were celebrating a 6th birthday. That poor baby's birthday vacation was cut short because his family members couldn't just walk away.
We are going for my son's birthday in 4 days, and i couldn't imagine acting like that, no matter what happened. We constantly had to deal with line cutters last Oct. Especially in the FOP Line at AK. its never worth it!! If it angers you to the point of confrontation, tell a cast member. Most of the time, CM would handle the situations. We saw a good bit of line cutters in the FOP get escorted out.

I read that The family without the matching shirts were the ones that the matching shirt family tried to prevent getting back in line. And then the matching shirt family actually waited after the show to then confront the whole family. Both families were immediately banned from WDW and 2 members of the matching shirt family were arrested. So they were kicked out of their resort as well. I have absolutely no issue if a person gets out of line and then comes back. They were in front of me already. Unfortunately, I read many DIS posts of people acting like kindergartners and say that “once you leave the line you cannot get back and have to go to the end” how ridiculous and childish.
