What the heck is Fantasmic??? Sorry, natural blond here-LOL!

We've never been to MGM before (and I was last at WDW in '92) and I'm wondering what exactly Fantasmic is and is it a must for us (family of 4, kiddos ages 3 1/2 and 7 y.o.)? If we should definitely go, should we book dinner at one of the special restaurants so we get good seat? Thanks for your help!

Fantasmic is a night show at MGM that is REALLY good. I think everyone should see it at least once. But I don't feel that a dinner package is necessary. If there are 2 shows when you go down, go to the 2nd show- always a LOT less crowded.

Someone posted a video of the show... it was like you were there - WONDERFUL!!

If you sit too close to the front, you'll get splashed... its Mickey Mouse Fantasia style - music, and lights, and water shooting, evil vs good... and it all comes to the end with the boats coming around with the face characters (Princesses, Prince etc)

Its a HUGE stadium, filled to capacity... you can buy expensive food, and souvieneirs, or plan and bring some light sticks etc!!
