What the heck are Webkinz?

I think that they are some kind of stuffed animal thing that plugs into the computer and you virtually take care of it and play with it but I'm not quite sure. I see them for sale at every Hallmark.

All I know is that my girls haven't heard of them yet and I'm glad!

They do want a "Barbie Girl" mp3 player. Sounds similar in the fact that you buy one and have access to special things on their website. $60 dollars each to go online. My daughter just got a hot pink ipod for her birthday, so I told them they had better start saving their money!

They are a stuffed animal (think beanie baby ) that comes with a code. You log on to their web site, and enter the secret code that came with your new pet. Then youu can play games and build a room for your new pet. The games earn you money to spend on your pet, food, toys, furniture, etc. You can also visit the rooms of other pets.
My 7 and 5 year olds LOVE it. They will do just about any chore to earn time to play on the webkinz website.
