Here are a few of mine...

Terms of Endearment
The Notebook
Titanic
The Way We Were (he abandoned his family, that is romantic?)
Officer and a Gentleman (maybe it's Deborah Winger)
Bridges of Madison County

I think one problem is I don't like to be manipulated by the film, but caught by surprise. All the above I thought tried too hard, kwim?

What about you?

The Notebook. I watched it, waiting for the tearjerking moment, and it just didn't happen. And I cry at everything!

Ghost!

I was a teenager and I was laughing about something and I just didn't cry.

Beaches.

I was told I would cry. I kept waiting for the crying part. But instead, I watched my boyfriend (at the time) cry his eyes out.

I can honestly say that I cry at EVERY movie that is supposed to be even the tiniest bit sad. Or happy. Or poignant. Or bittersweet. Or... you get the point. I cried at the end of the Adam Sandler movie 50 First Dates, for cryin' out loud!!! An Adam Sandler movie!! DH says I have a sickness.

What can I say? I am in touch with my emotions. VERY in touch. Too in touch. :rotfl:

Beaches, which amazes me since I can cry over a Brady Bunch episode.

The only movies that make me cry are the ones where bad things happen to animals or little children or a combination of the two. None of the so-called "romantic" movies get a tear out of me. They just usually make me say, "Hey - learn to make better choices and all this stuff won't happen to you!"

Beaches- I just didn't cry! Oh well- put Stepmom on or Steel Magnolias and I will!

The Notebook no tears!!

Terms of Endearment - oh my, I still play the hospital scene saying bye to the kids.. in MY HEAD!!!!!!!!

I cry whenever a child is involved in a sad moment with a parent!!

I felt that way about The Color Purple - manipulated. I actually walked out angry.

I was flipping through the channels and saw a few minutes of this show and I cried in like 5 minutes! My mom walked in and thought I was hurt or something haha. Well these two people were stuck together with a pole through them and they had to seperate them by sliding them off and the girl was going to die and they way they were stuck to the pole was they were hugging eachother and they were saying how much they were going to miss eachother,And as she was sliding off she was just staring at him and she was slowly dying and she was crying and they guy cried and then I cried.

This was opposite of what the thread title was but I cant think of anything.

I'll take your 50 First Dates and raise you a Spanglish.... :rotfl2:

I have yet to make it through the end of 50 First Dates without sniffling!

I didn't cry through Beaches or Titanic, I kept hoping they would both drown on Titanic. Wouldn't have bothered me a bit.

Hope Floats makes me bawl though - DH is ready to have me commited! :confused3

The Notebook - and could someone please help me out here....
I saw this movie on DVD, so I had heard a lot of hype by the time I finally saw it (which is usually a formula for disappointment). I thought the story was really sweet - but were we really supposed to not figure out until the end that the older man was Ryan Gosling and the woman was Rachel McAdam? It seemed like that was supposed to be the moment that you would lose it, when they told you who they really were. But they never really kept it a secret as it was so obvious throughout the whole movie! :confused3

Finding Neverland. It went off and my husband and I looked at each other and I said that's 2 hours I will never get back.
