What table service would you pick for your SOLO Trip?

If you were going to wdw on a Solo trip, what table service would you choose? Eating alone doesn't bother me. I like to people watch or bring a book to read. Open to any suggestions.

This is probably no help at all, but I usually go solo, and I'll happily eat just about anywhere at Disney by myself. California Grill has been especially interesting since if you ask nicely and there's availability, they can seat you at the counter in front of the open kitchen and you can watch the chefs do their thing (and even chat a bit). Coral Reef is great because a lot of the small tables are right up in front by the tank.
The only place I've ever felt less comfortable as a solo was 'Ohana, and that was largely because of the "Family style" ginormous food servings. It felt like a waste. The service was *Fantastic*, and the people-watching was very entertaining. I had fun there, but it just felt like it would be *more* fun with more people.

you sit at a table for 8. but you are all a group.

now, at beirgarten (germany) you sit at a table for 8 also.. however, it is easy for the other people to ignore you.

last time we ate there, I felt SO bad!! we tried to meet up with friends form another state, but they were seated at a dif. table. so we and they kept trying to talk to each other, and this pool couple sitting at our table kept trying to talk to us, nowwe werent ignoring them so much as trying to talk to the people we were hpoing to be sat with, whom we had never met in person, only on the DIS (hey! winkers!!)

but,at teppan edo, the chef IS the show, and you are all centered on him.

the signature locations have counter seating where you can watch the action in the kitchen. Flying Fish, Jiko and California Grill come to mind. There are others.

Restaurant Marakesh, Biergarten, Raflan Road and House of Blues can also be entertaining.

My top place is the lounge at bluezoo. Full menu is offered, the mixologists are great, the atmosphere is quiet and adult. Oh and the food is amazing!

Any place where you can sit and watch the cooking is also great. Flying Fish, Citricos, Ca Grill and Jiko have limited availability for this.

Sci Fi is also very good since you can watch the movies (food isn't the best but love the atmosphere).

Sanaa, if you go during daylight, offers views of the animals on the savannah.

I second the recommendation of Ragland Road also. The band is fun to watch.

Captain's Grille, Nine Dragons, Yak n Yeti, San Angel Inn, Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona, Rose and Crown.... I woudn't hesitate to eat at any of those alone

I'd go to the bar/counter at Jiko or Citricos. Chat with the bartender if you want to, or eat and read if you don't.

If you are looking to find some people to talk to, I adore the bars/lounges at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club and 50s Prime Time. Or maybe I just like bars?

I've been solo several times. I like to eat at Sci-Fi, Boma, Jiko, Sanaa (by the window), Flame Tree Bar B Cue, Coronado Springs food court and LeCellier!

Hi stranger! Haven't seen you on the boards lately.

To OP: I to go to WDW several times a year solo and since I prefer TS over CS have eaten at most WDW restaurants. The only place I would not go back solo is Biergarten. For some strange reason they sat me as the only female at a table with two parties that were all men. My favorite places to dine solo are Boma, Jiko, Flying Fish, Artist Point, California Grill, Coral Reef, Narcoosee, Citricos, Yachtsman, outside at Big River Grill, outside at Rose & Crown, upstairs by a window at Yak & Yeti, Cape May at dinner, Pepper Market at CSR, WGP Express, and on the covered patio at Turf Club at SSR.

This past Dec I ate dinner at the Garden Grove at the S/D for the first time. I didn't realize it was a character meal on certain nights and just went there for the seafood buffet. The place was empty, food was really good, and the characters really sweet (the waiter threatened Pluto about stealing stuffed lobsters and Pluto pretended like he was stealing mine. Since the restaurant was so empty, the characters all made two rounds so I saw them all twice. The second time around, Pluto took a seat at my table and pretended to eat. I finally shooed him off, telling him I was fine solo.).

Thanks for all the awesome suggestions. I had forgotten about the bars (can u imagine...me forgetting about the bars?!)
I'll have to remember to try some of those. I did manage to get Coral reef for
lunch as well as LeCellier.
