What surprises have you found while packing?

I started packing and organizing toiletries today for our upcoming trip. I haven't used my travel bag since the fall. Checked every pocket and, low and behold, there were my small gold hoop earrings and pearl ring! I knew the earrings were missing, but just chalked it up to being lost or somewhere around the house. Had forgotten about the ring because since I had DD, my rings don't always fit so I don't wear them very often. What a fun find while packing!!!

Anyone else find anything....good or bad while Disney packing????

I thought this was a fun question.
Being that we vacation every other year, I tend to leave certain things in the suitcase. Last year I was helping my siblings go on their first cruise and they were borrowing a few things here and there. While looking in my suitcase I found unused luggage tags, pirate bandannas, My KTTW cards and even some mickey glitter from a trip to WDW 6 years ago! It just brings back some fun memories.

I found a 24 pack of string cheese. Years ago I was in this huge string cheese phase and I would only eat one brand, and North Carolina didn't carry this brand so I just took some with. Somehow they ended up in the front pocket of the big suitcase...I thought they were lost and Mom forgot she'd put them there. I never use the front pocket of the suitcase and I found them 2 years later (gross I know). Since they were all vacuum packed they looked ok but obviously I threw them out.

Mickey confetti still falls out of my son's stroller from his first birthday(first haircut package at the barber shop) at the MK. He's now six and I can't bring myself to clean all of the mickey heads out of the pockets.

Last august my hubby emptied some of his cards from his wallet that he wouldn't need while we were at disney. We couldn't find them anywhere after the trip and he couldn't remember if he took them out before (and stuck them somewhere in the house) or after we went on our trip. While planning our trip for this august to disney, we were checking out our luggege and he found the cards in his bathroom travel bag! Almost a year of them being lost!

Funny, I found a pair of earrings when I was packing last night

I was actually looking for my spare memory card for my camera. I decided to look and see if I had stuck it in my old camcorder back (that I haven't opened in over a year) and found a pair of earrings I forgot all about. The memory card wasn't there but I was really excited about the earrings

I found a long lost bathing suit - thank goodness it was dry when I put it away!

Way back in 1999 we thought DD had lost her glasses in the park....Couple of years ago I found them in a tote bag I've used that tote bag every visit we been many many times since 99 I've turned the cloth tote bag upside down shook it out many times the glasses never fell out.

We just got back from a 3 day trip (that we booked last week). While packing, I opened my Vera Bradley hipster that I use in the parks at WDW and found a money envelope (from our last trip in May) with $160. NICE!!!!

Yeh, definitely that’s a nice surprise. I was packing last year for Disney trip and found a small pouch (inside $10 ) that we gifted our daughter on her birthday. We did celebrate her birthday at Disney. She loved it and kept it at the bottom of our carry on.

Since Disney is my only big trip, I keep certain things packed always, it is a nice surprise when I pull it out to pack and find many smaller items that I do not have to purchase as I forgot they were in there, now if only I could find my house keys that I lost from the last trip, I know they were in the suitcase when we left Disney, but somehow were lost by the time we got home???

I have found forgotten money in the suitcase, I make envelopes for everything and we did not get to the mini golf once and still had not only the money, but the coupon when I started packing for the next trip. Coupon no good, but the money sure was!
