We had a tradional wedding, but I think some of the themed, as in Las Vegas, look kind of fun, but not something I would personally do!

I had a small traditional wedding--$300. That bought me a bride cake, groom cake, invites, flowers, photos, and oh, yes, my dress and veil both of which I made myself. We had a one night honeymoon, watched the first Space Shuttle lift off, drove home and did laundry. Back to student teaching the next day. Still married 28+ years.:lovestruc

Garden party?

I got really into the UK bridal magazines (cost a pretty penny, too), and there was one wedding idea (or actual wedding, never really sure with some of those pictures) with a tent/marquee and various aspects, and when I looked at my wedding pictures, I realized I'd nearly copied it. :)

Mine was a very traditional (or maybe ordinary is a better word) 1980's southern church wedding. Brief ceremony with a wedding singer doing several cheesy pop love songs including the theme from Ice Castles, followed by cake and punch in the church fellowship hall. The whole thing cost around $300 including tux rentals!

Ours was very traditional, back in 1975. Church wedding with about 200 guests.

:rotfl: On of the biggest fights my thenDF and I ever had was over those cheesy songs. He wanted the theme from Ice Castles and I wasn't having any parts of it. "We've Only Just Begun" and "Annie's song" were off the list too. In the end I decided that we would have no singing, cheesy or otherwise.

Prett traditional. Mass at church, reception at a banquet hall, garter toss, bouquet toss, the cake cutting, dance with my father, dance with his mother.

It was a fun day. People still tell us what a good time they had at our wedding, and it was 18 years ago.

I voted contemporary. We got married at Disney but it wasn't a themed wedding and the Disney touches were small and subtle.

We were married outside in a non-religious ceremony that we wrote ourselves. Instead of a traditional reception we had an afternoon tea. And then we had a dessert party at EPCOT for Illuminations. The wedding and reception had a vague Victorian theme, I guess... But not really.
