What "special things" happen for a honeymooning couple?

We got married @ Disney in 2004...and honeymooned there for 5 days after (before our cruise)....

We didn't get anything special (although we did not have pins nor did we wear the hats)!

My parents are both celebrating their 60th b-days there this summer AND I am making sure they wear their pins! And I also put it on the dining ressies!

I would 2nd the advice on not to expect anything...so when something happens, you'll be happy!

We were married at Disney and honeymooned there the week after the wedding. We got a free dessert at Yachtsmen Steakhouse, a couple free sodas one day at Epcot,and bunches of fastpasses. My favorite part of our honeymoon was when we went to the American Adventure and the CM working at the doors told us we had a phone call (it was from Mickey congratulating us) and gave us a Magical Moments certificate before he ushered us upstairs to see the voices of liberty before the show. They even dedicated "When you wish upon a star" to us which is my favorite disney song

We wore our buttons and I wore my ears, DH's head is too big for the groom ears

When we honeymooned in Disney in May of 04, I made sure that I put on our reservations that we were on our honeymoon. We stayed at POR and we got a waterview room upgrade, when we returned to our room after going to DTD there was a card in our room from Mickey & Minnie congratulating us. We had lunch at CRT and they sprinkled our table with the mickey confetti and gave us the champagne flutes and a Magical Memories certificate. We could've been Grand Marshalls (? is that what they call it) for the 3:00 parade at the MK, unfortunatly, we had the ADR for CRT. I wish I could kick myself for turning that down.The night we dined at the Garden Grill we had a rehitching ceremony with a certificate and they gave us a free cake ( the little generic ones). One of our EPCOT days, when we went to the American Adventure the doorman told us that we had a call and it was Mickey & Minnine talking about a wedding, and congratulating us! Then before the show American Vybe was performing and they announced to the audience that we had just gotten married and they then starting to sing to us and pulled us up to dance! I wasn't expecting anything extra, but it made our trip more magical to us! It certainly was a memorable time.

It really depends on how busy the CMs are at the time of your visit. We went for our 1st wedding anniversay in Dec. & were given a few really neat things: a mini wedding cake w/ a white chocolate groom Minnie & bride Mickey cake topper, extra fastpasses from a CM at one of the rides, chocolate covered marshmallows at the candy shop/bakery in DHS, and dessert at a few of our TS restaurants. I hope you have an extra magical honeymoon!

We stayed at the WL, honeymoon suit, we got a cupcake at Tuskar House (breakfast). We got some balloons and a picture with signatures from Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy.
