What souvenier do you wish you'd bought?

Well I have a list of items one being the purple monorail that I walked past several times and said next trip I will get it. Well next trip they were all gone. Then there was a T-shirt at OKW that I fell in love with. DH said we will get it on our last day. The next day they were all out of my size. No additional ones in the back either. A few years ago there was a gold plated ornament at DTD in the Christmas store. I really thought it would look awesome on our Disney Christmas tree. I debated and debated and said next trip. Next trip it was gone.

So now...

I BUY IT WHEN I SEE IT ON THE SPOT. :cool1: This new attitude of mine drives DH nuts. :lmao:

My "I wish I dad bought that" item was at the disney outlet store in the Premier mall shopping area outside WDW. On one trip I saw - and had in my hands (!) - a denim levi's type jacket from the Rock 'n Roller Coaster ride. Just my size, and had the full logo of the ride sewn in the back in glorious full color. Really quite dramatic - and only $25 ! I don't want to count how many times I kicked myself in the tush for that one.

Especially since my 13 y/o daughter has "appropriated" my earlier levi's jacket with Mickey on the back. My wife has great fun about our back-n-forth over "the jacket". :hyper2:

The 1st time we went to WDW we saw a picture in the animation shop of Donald Duck falling into some music. We nearly got it and now I so wish we had as when we went back we couldn't see any. I have searched the internet too to find it but had no luck so far.

I can easily say that I wish I had bought 2 coffeemugs, yellow with red dots and Minnie on it instead of the only one I bought, we came back from our trip in -03 with it, I put in the dishwasher and when my husband unloaded it, he put in the cupboard crooked and it fell out on the counter and went into pieces. :sad2:

It was our first trip to WDW and this coffeemug was special to me, have never been able to find it again, even searched on Ebay

The second trip I bought the "Been there, done that, going back" -license plate holder and have it on my car, and this last & 3rd trip we bought the college frame with cut-out of Mickey head...

I also wish we had bought a magnet for our fridge, we have the 2003 and 2006 one but we never bought one for our trip in 2004.

Back on our very first family trip to WDW in December 2003 DS (4.5 at the time) found a hat outside of BLSRS that he absolutely loved. It was $16 and really silly looking, so we talked him out of it. That entire winter he kept saying he wished he had the hat. I had no idea I could call WDW directly to order it. Of course when we went back the following summer (and Christmas), they were nowhere to be seen.

At least we have a cute picture of him wearing it on the fridge!

when they had the yoda mickey t-shirts and I said wait until the end of the week and they were all gone by then. My DH still has not forgotten that one.

I have never bought regular mouse ears. I have had wedding ones, christmas ones and graduation ones, but never a regular, normal pair. I have a mission to get those on the next trip-with my name on them! I figure I better do it now with a baby on the way because I am sure the next trip will involve buying a bunch of stuff for the little one!
Oh, I also have always wanted the license plate frame "been there done that". I hope I can find it on this trip. Right now, I just have the bumper sticker.

this is our motto!!! We were on a 4 day cruise and when we went to the jewlery lecture they told us...you will only be here for the day there is no going back...So if you see it and you like it buy it!

Well, that year (we did 3 days land prior to our cruise) I wanted to pick a pearl at DTD (I didnt know they had them at Epcot at the time too) but BF said "Don't bother its just a tourist thing." Well, 2 years later...I still wanted one...SO, we went to Epcot and got one. He really got into it and picked out my oyster-which contained an 8mm pink pearl and the setting. I love it!

But now if you see it and you like it -buy it! its our motto!

I am gonna twist this a little and say "the souvenier I wish I'd kept"

In the 70's I had those POC model kits. The ones with the skeletons. Wish I still had them now! :guilty:

Two years ago in the Emporium they had an adorbale sweatshirt that said 'Magic Kingdom', and the letters all looked like attractions or shows in the MK. They didn't have my size, so I didn't get it, but on our latest trip they had it, and they had my size but I didn't get it. :( I really regret it.

The other thing is the Hula Dancing Stitch. :p He was so cute lol!

We were there Sept/Oct 2005 and my dd bought this really cute Happiest Celebration on Earth t-shirt with an all-over print front and back. I saw the adult version, but it only had the design on the front. Now I wish I had tried on the childs large or xl and seen if it fit, I would have loved that shirt. I am a petite person, and can often fit childrens shirts (not usually pants, thanks to those child-beraing hips :rotfl2: )

I could kick myself for not buying scrapbooking items, especially the book. I bought the large photo album and LOVE it!
I have never bought the good old Mickey Mouse t-shirt that has the colored trim around the neck and on the sleeves.
I also want all of the little toy models of the rides and landmarks like the tree of life, Spaceship Earth. I want it all!

13 days and counting! YIPPY!!!! :cool1:

i was in venice italy last month and looked at two rings in a jewelry store. i am so sorry that i did not buy them both. one for my daughter and one for myself. :sad2:
i feel like paying for a plane ticket all the way back to venice just to get the rings. maybe with a little pixie dust the airlines prices will go down a little more. pixiedust:

I wished I'd bought a Santa Claus ornament in the Christmas shop just outside Muppetvision in MGM. It was beautiful - Santa sat reading a book to lots of wild animals like deer, squirrels etc..It was several years ago I saw it and every time I go I look for it - You never know....

I really wish I had picked up a couple of frames, especially the really nice Splash Mountain frame I saw. Funny enough, I bought the picture from our first ride on splash but passed on the frame :(

When we stayed at POFQ in 2001, the gift shop had a CD or Tape of the Resort music loop they played around the grounds. I wish I had bought it because I don't believe they have it available anymore. At least they didn't last year when I checked.

I did buy a beautiful Mickey sweatshirt jacket a few years ago...It said mickey on the front and had a subtle mickey on the back. Unfortunately I left it at the airport in orlando...We went back last year and the had a very similar jacket...but not nearly as nice and a little louder - I was so disappointed...(but I still bought the newer model!)

Somehow we returned home yesterday and I hadn't bought myself the WDW cookbook I saw at Epcot and AK. :sad2:
