Maryland here- not with a very southern reputation but below the Mason Dixon line, just the same.:thumbsup2

Next Southern Questions:

Do you guys drive or fly?

How do you feel about the whole Dixie Landings renaming?

and Heaven Forbid...IF you vacation elsewhere, where do you go, and do you do other timeshares, and where?

and finally for you tigers out there...Do you think Bama will be pleased with your old coach, Nick Sabin?

We're Floridians! :cool1:

Some people think we're nuts for buying DVc since we live here but I tell them I think its to our advantage since we can go as often as we like to and can drive easily so we can go at off times and get into most resorts.

From New Orleans, we drive & fly. It all depends on our schedule & the price of airfare.

We don't own any other timeshares. We do a little traveling for IRL & Nascar racing. We like to visit Beau Rivage in Biloxi to catch concerts or other shows there or in that area. Also like the "southern riviera" beaches of Bama & FL.

And on Nick Saban:mad: , well as you know he was once considered a god in these parts! Of course, we know have nothing but hate & disdain for the traitor!!! ;)

If he does as well in Bama as he did at LSU, I'm sure they will be very happy.

Just outside Little Rock, Arkansas here! GO HOGS GO!!!:cool1: :cool1:

As far as driving or flying, we will almost always fly. It's around 20+ hrs from here to Orlando--so that adds on at least 2 days to our vacation that I would much rather spend with the mouse!

Hmmm, other travel destinations--we love Hilton Head and Siesta Key, FL

Tennessee - Go VOLS! :cheer2:

We drive. It usually takes us about 9 hours. We have made it in just over 8 hours, when the traffic gods were smiling on us. It has taken us as long as 12 hours when Atlanta was having a particularly bad traffic day.

We used to own a Starwood timeshare, but sold it last year. :dance3: Love our DVC!

Oh - we do go to the Smokies for a long weekend a couple of times a year. Other than that, it's WDW all the way.

South Carolina!

(Lived here since 2004, born and raised in Jersey though)

From Louisiana but live in Texas.

If anyone wants to hear a good Texas / Louisiana PG rated joke PM me.

Another Tennessee DVCer !!:cheer2:
We always drive because I am too chicken to fly. The trip is usually about 14 hrs. and we drive straight through.

Count me in on Alabama! ROLL TIDE ROLL!

We usually drive. It's about 9 hours from Birmingham.

We own one other timeshare in St. Maarten and absolutely love it as well. Got it resale fairly cheap. It is the Royal Palm Beach Club which is on the World Passport collection if anyone is interested...

Although Virginia & Florida may be "technically" located in the southern region of the US, I don't know that I would call them "Southern" states:laughing: !

Hey, there are more mullets and Camaros on blocks in Florida than all other states combined. ;)

We're in NC.

Flying or driving? We've done both and enjoy both.
flying: we can be there in 1 hr 45 min.

driving: 10 hrs. & stop at lots of cheesy places along the way - SOUTH OF THE BORDER - doesn't get any cheesier than that. Also, the kids LOVE to stop at the Fl. welcome center for orange juice and 1000's of brochures.

Stayed at Dixie Landing in 1999 - I still call it that.

Haven't stayed at any other timeshare but I'm trying to rent week 3 2008 for Marriott Frenchman's Cove in St Thomas or Westin St John.

The other questions don't concern me:)
