I must admit to being a bit confused too Bonnie, I heard that the baby was left with these animals over the space of 2 months!! whilst the mother redecorated her house, what mum constantly leaves a baby of 12 weeks with other people? especially when he was 'known' to have a penchant for porn etc?

When I heard this story on the news I simply could not believe it.

What a terrible, terrible thing.

I then had to explain it to my soon to be 13 year old, who was almost in tears over how and why this could happen to a 12 week old baby.

The only thing I can hope is they get treated in exactly the same way (with as much brutality as that little mite would have suffered) when they get into prison.

I'm fairly certain that even if they don't receive what they deserve in prison they'll sure as hell get it when they get out!! what annoys me most is they'll obviously be treated with kid gloves inside, kept seperate and with max security etc so they'll not be hurt!

Its terrible that the mother of Thompsons baby has no idea who he is, if he hurts that child and all along social services knew who he was but didnt allow the mother to know so she could protct her child, its a joke. He never should have been allowed out of prison.

I have heard that in some prisons the prison guards tell the inmates what the person is in for. Lets hope this happens in there case.....

I heard this on the news yesterday and I was in tears, my little girl is 12 weeks old, I just can't begin to imagine what makes people do that kind of thing, they really don't deserve to live.
Needless to say I just had to pick my baby up and cuddle her (even more than usual)

off topic but another injustice.
A 16 yr old girl in my village deliberatly ran over another 16yr old in my village,killing her and only got 2 yrs in a detention centre, shes out now (while the other is dead) and she thinks its great she can walk around, granted everyone shuns her, but still she should have got the chair.

It is hard to understand what kind of a depraved mind people like this have. I don't think any decent person could read this without feeling sick to the stomach. I hope they both rot in jail and then when they die, rot in hell.

dont forget that under what we call a justice system..she will only do half the sentance and will be out in 2 to 3 years he will be released after about 8 years.. life never means life.. the average sentance for a life murder is only 13 years

I agree with Anna that in some cases Corporal Punishment should be an option for a jury to decide. I also do not believe that inmates such as these vile people should be segregated, an Eye for an Eye.
Let's hope that this child does not remember anything that happened to her.

heard it on the radio, it just makes your jaw drop, its unbelivable to think that this could happen but obviously does and this probably isn't the only case but luckily these monsters have been caught, hopefully they will get what they really deserve and wont survive to walk free again....absolutely unbelievable.
