We sailed last July in a category three. We were not contacted ahead of time, however, another cruiser had posted a phone number that I used to contact them. Unfortunately, I no longer have the number, maybe someone else does. I was able to pick the dining rotation that I wanted, and schedule my Palo reservations ahead of time. Because our boarding was delayed due to an emergency the night prior, the concierge staff was not available for the initial meet and greet as scheduled. They did send another cast member, who booked all of my spa reservations and shore excursions.
We did receive a number of additional amenities, though none as great as the additional space! We received a tray of desserts, cheese and crackers, an arcade card for our son, fruit, and higher quality toiletries in the bath (watch out for the toothpaste though, it is HORRIBLE!).
You should also receive menus from the dining rooms (except Palo's) for all meals during your cruise. Anything that is offered may be delivered to your room during mealtimes. We tried breakfast and lunch one time each. We probably should have used the service for additional lunches, as we don't like the open seatings and the menus were often interesting. We did not order any dinners, as it's hard to appreciate the different courses when everything comes at once. I've heard conflicting reports as to whether you can order from Palo's, we did not try it.
The jacuzzi tub was nice to have, and so was the second t.v.
The only disappointment was the balcony itself. I had expected something a little wider, perhaps with lounge chairs. The balcony is very large, but it is long and narrow and contains 4 plastic upright chairs (not very comfortable). We still enjoyed our balcony, we just spent less time there than I had anticipated.
We had alot of mixed feelings about our cruise, but one aspect that we all agreed upon was that the suite was worth every extra penny!
Have a great cruise!!!
