What sort of hobbies do you have?

1000 piece puzzles mostly here. We always have one on the dining room table and DH does them too and sometimes my DDs do it as well so it is a good size for us. Have gone up to 2000 piece but once was enough. 1500 were ok but prefer 1000s.

Dad and I stick to 100 piece puzzles. They are a lot of fun to do.

Reading and writing.
Card making/decorating

God-willing joining a church choir again one day.

Hug, Jalepeno-Pretzel. What matters is in the care in any card or note. I'm sure those you send make a kind difference.

Fiber Arts- knitting, quilting, sewing
Table Top Games- Dungeons and Dragons, Star Trek, and so many board games!
Home Improvement- Didn't want this to be a hobby, but when you buy a fixer upper... 🤣

I like the 500 piece ones too, they're just right for me. Unfortunately the latest one out is a 1000 piece, and I know I will be the one to have to do most of it!

My hobbies are ...
Traveling / travel planning
walking / running / hiking
swimming
Tae Kwon Do
watching House Hunters International
being chauffeur for my kids
cooking / baking
learning other languages (even if only a few words)
Feng shui

If I could pick some I'd like to focus on more ... reading, gardening, modern witchcraft, indigenous creation mythology.
Wow, you have a lot of your plate, lol. I admit to being a "puzzle snob" and only do Charles Wysocki puzzles. A friend of mine got me started on his puzzles and now it's all I do. lol.

I enjoy some of those hobbies too. I am a quilter and I have started doing crochet again. I learned how to crochet when I was in my 20's and taught myself. It's a nice way to fill the time while something is on tv that you are not really interested in, and I enjoy it a lot. I am slowing down on making quilts for a while and do other smaller projects. It's a fun hobby isn't it?

I really like Galison and Mudpuppy Brand. I think I found them when looking for a Christmas puzzle one year, and I've stuck with them. We pretty much always have one underway, and I'll often just take a few minute break from what I'm doing and work on it.

I like to garden, can and preserve what I grow, and bake. I also take cooking classes with friends. We have gone to cheese making, sourdough, cookie and cupcake decorating, and Italian Christmas cookies.

I joined a craft club at work. People have volunteered to show a crafting skill and when possible we will have hands on workshops. Our first workshop is Wednesday, we will be making cards. I’m excited to try new things.

It is! I enjoy being able to make things with my own two hands. I agree it's the perfect hobby for accompanying TV watching, though I admit I am doing a little less of that recently and more listening to Disney podcasts instead. :earsboy:

Reading
Listening to music/singing
Puzzles
Sudoku
Logic Problems
Swimming/water aerobics
Following crime cases/court cases
Computer games (just a couple that I've been playing off and on for decades - The Sims 2 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 2)

I like 500 and 1000 piece puzzles. The Charles Wysocki ones from Buffalo Puzzles are my absolute favorites. I'll do other ones from time to time but mostly do those.

It's hard to beat their quality puzzles isn't it? I love the 500 pc puzzles because they fit better on my puzzle table. Charles Wysocki snobs!!Unite!!! :rotfl2:

Nice thread. I see many have listed working out as a hobby, so I definitely have that.

-I walk at least 30 miles a week but I do that with my job so I don't really count it.

- I work out 6 days a week and do weights/yoga 4 days a week and then stationary bike 3 days (doing a double workout one day). I'm trying to ramp up my cardio lately. I try to squeeze in yoga twice a week as well...it helps so much with balance and flexibility.

-International travel, lately it's a lot of adventure travel which has been so much fun. And like many here, if we're not traveling I'm looking into/researching the next big trip. We've got an 18 day trip to Kenya and Uganda coming up this July which I'm super excited about. 3 days in Nairobi, 9 in Kenya at two different camps and then 6 in Uganda for two gorilla treks and one chimpanzee trek. Ramping up workouts to get as fit as I can for that. We've got another 18 day one in February to Ecuador to visit Quito and then two weeks on a Galapagos Cruise, which again...need to be pretty fit for as well. Costa Rica for ten days next summer, but haven't started planning that one yet. Costa Rica has become a place we truly love.

-Birding. This is a newer one for me and I got into birds during the pandemic, but really after our first safari in South Africa. Yes, the mammals on that trip were amazing, but so were the birds. And while I have nothing as exciting here in NJ, they are fun to watch. I have a Bird Buddy and a couple of other feeders and a bird bath. So...I have a lot of bird buddies I guess.

Other than that....with work, two older dogs who require a lot of care, a 94 y/o FIL who is requiring more of our time, there isn't much time for anything else right now. But looking forward to taking up new hobbies when time allows.

Someone finally mentioned birding-my #1 hobby. DH and I have gone to many areas of the US bird watching, but never outside the US. We're lucky enough to live next to a creek, and we have a "yard list" of over 100 species of birds.
Besides bird watching, my hobbies are reading, jigsaw puzzles, ancestry research, and riding my adult tricycle.
