What snacks for the park?

What snacks do you all bring into the parks with you? I've got a few ideas, but would like an idea of other healthy options others bring.

I'm planning:
--Apple slices
--plums/peaches (stashed in an empty Puffs container so they don't squish)
--Freeze dried peas
--goldfish
--freeze dried yogurt drops
--pretzels

I feel like I'm missing really obvious things!

You could actually freeze the gogurts and they will defrost by lunch. I would also bring some grapes too!!! YOu could always make PB & J sandwiches. Those went over really well with our kids. I buy Goober Grape because it is PB & J in one jar vs. buying 2 separate jars. Other than that whatever your kids will eat. Also, love the drink pouches for Bottle Water. It is nice to change it up a bit.

Personally, I wouldn't bring anything that won't keep over several days if you don't eat it right away. Fresh fruit sounds like a great idea, but depending on when and what you eat for meals, you may not find yourselves very hungry or wanting to stop for snacks as often as you might think. We usually bring a few individual baggies of nuts and granola bars. Those are things we can munch on in line if we're really hungry. Otherwise, we find ourselves full enough from our meals.

I'm bringing those real fruit, fruit rollups. I get them at Whole Foods around here. I'm also bringing some zip lock bags of walnuts... good in omegas and I'm pregnant, so it's a nice snack for me, everyone else likes them too. I'm bringing some whole bananas and oranges, they don't squish, and my daughter and I love them.

That's about it for us. We figure that we'll fill up at meals and not have time for too many snacks. :)

We took mandarin oranges, 100 calorie packs of oreos and trail mix. We also took some gummies, but in hindsight, wasn't a good idea. They got us through our trip. I plan to do the 100 calorie packs again. They are the perfect amount for a little snack. I'll probably pack dried fruit this time around, but I'm worried about how it'll hold up in Septemtber!

we get koolaid singles ,just pore them in a bottle of water and the kids love them and its a great change from juice or pop , also try peanut butter crackers , fruit cups , apple sauce cups they don't need refrigerated
