Sorry if this has been asked 1 million times.

What snacks are on the dining plan?

water, soda, chips, fruit, ice cream bars, Mickey bars, itsakadoozee bars, rice crispy treats. That is all we used our snack credits on. Alot of the items are marked dining plan. Hope that helps you. ::MickeyMo

We just got back and they have narrowed down what you can use as a snack. We could get bottled water (only small not large), soda, single serving chips, ice cream bar, rice krispie treats. You could NOT get bigger sodas or waters, no powerade, no soft serve ice cream. We used ours on bottled soda and one ice cream.

Soda, tea, coffee, ice-cream-cart, bottle water, popcorn-cart. This is what is normally available at the parks. It will not include most desserts, cappuccino, slush drinks, etc.

Be forewarned that at EPCOT, you will have a very hard time getting any location to even give you a soda or coffee for the snack. Most EPCOT what-I-would-call-snack-places have signs posted that they do not accept the dining plan at all!! :confused3

You will have better luck at MK or AK to get an ice cream from a cart for a snack. Also, I did not see any "do not accept the dining plan" signs in any other park, except EPCOT.

Your best place to redeem snacks is a resort food court. They will probably allow almost anything under a certain price $2-3 to be considered a snack. This depends a lot on the cashier on duty.

I have complained to Disney about this. (Norway Bakery charged my credit card instead of the dining plan when something I wanted was not on the dining plan... even though I never got it... very long story... a bit of a mess). My take is that Disney should set a price, $2-3, and let anything under that price count as a snack. How easy would that be!!! :cheer2:

Where were you able to get a rice crispy treat on the plan?
We had a big problem with DH being diabetic. At the time, fruit was not allowed. I am glad that changed. I agree that it would make sense to limit the cost of an item - I got sick of eating ice cream bars!

Some new info:

If you are planning to participate in the Magic Your Way Dining Plan during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival on September 30th - November 13th, you will be able to use a snack coupon to purchase one (1) food item at any kiosk located throughout World Showcase. (Not good for alcohol.) :cheer2:

Every resort food court offered them. (e.g. Roaring Forks)

I was actually lucky then to get bottled coke outside of the land for snack - also got cookie and coke in Norway and popcorn around USA.

Got large bottled water in MK and MGM in various areas (outside of castle)

Favorite treats were Mickey ice cream bars, popcorn, and Mickey Rice Crispy Treats with chocolate - All Star Music.

I hope this is true as it would be neat to use the snack credits for the food & wine stuff. Thanks!

The dining brouchure lists 24oz Dasani Water so if they had you ge the small they were wrong. This is the one I was given at check in and the one online.
What is listed in the brouchure is "Frozen Ice-Cram Novelty, Popsicle or Fruit bar, Popcorn Scoop (single serving box), Single Piece of whole Fruit, Single serving Grab Bag od Frito Lay's Chips, 20oz Bottle Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or 24 oz Dansani Water, Medium Fountian Drink or Apple Juice."

If you don't mind me asking where did you hear this? I hate to get my hopes up! Thanks

Try this:

http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...gespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/MYWDining.pdf

It is the brochure for the dining plan. If this doesn't work, go to www.disneyworld.com, click on tickets and reservations, click on 2005 packages, click on Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining, and read down the page to "View the brochure..." and click on that. We've printed our out, just in case a restaurant wants to argue with us at WDW; hope not!!!

In the brochure, it lists all of the snack options. :earsboy:

We had no problem using the snack credits any where at Epcot, including carts. We were there 9/5-9/12. I do agree though with setting a price point as opposed to certain items for snacks. If ice cream on the cart is $3 and a dole whip is $3...what's the difference? Why the restrictions?

What snacks are on the dining plan?

What locations at Downtown Disney can you use snack credits?

Thats great news!!! Is this information posted on Disney site?

We were able to get 24 oz water everywhere. We had the biggest problem at MGM finding carts that took the dining card for ice cream. We used quite a few snack credits on ice cream sandwiches. Most of our snack credits were used on water. On the menus at the carts it will have a little meal symbol that tells you what items you can get as a snack on the dining plan. I don't know why but some stands that sold ice cream, you could only use the dining plan to get water or soda there. If you just watch for those symbols you'll be fine. We figured this out after waiting in line for 15 min at this one ice cream cart that they didn't take the dining card for ice cream.

I ask the same question, West.... No one can confirm as of yet. It would be awesome if it were true though.
