What size Ziplock do I use for packing outfits?

I have read so much about packing each childs outfit in a ziplock bag to make things easier. I was just wondering what size ziplock bag everyone was using.

Either 1 gal. or 2 gal., depending on the size of the clothes.

I use mainly the 2 gal. size, but not one bag per outfit....instead I'll pack all the tops on one bag, bottoms in another, underwear, jammies, bathing suit in a third bag. No matter which way you use them, ziplock baggies are great for packing---I'm such an addict now.

I use 1 gallon size for kid's...and I do pack one bag per outfit (underwear included). I also label them with each dd's name so that dh can figure out whose is whose.

They are so convenient for tossing a spare change of clothes in the park bag and then, when someone gets wet, I have a bag to put the wet clothes in when she changes.

P.S. I also take along a bunch of sandwich baggies which just come in handy. I put Purell and Suntan lotion in them so that they don't leak. Blister/first-aid stuff in one, half-eaten rice crispy mickey heads, etc.

I used 1 gallon bags last month on our trip. Ds is in diapers so he only had shorts/shirts/socks, but dd's had underwear in hers too. It really made everything SO much easier to just pull out a bag than to paw through their clothes.

We were there in December so all the bagged outfits were shorts and t's, the pants and long sleeved shirts I packed separately and used as needed.

I used 1 gal. I put both kids outfits in and wrote the day on the outside so dh could help in getting them dressed and not put the "wrong" thing on them.

I use 1 gallon bags. They work great for camping, too.

Ok so many raves about using this and YET i still in all the trips we've made (ok i know not to many but still) i've never used this method... I MUST try this time.

I think I'm going to try this too. I usually use the 2.5 gallon ziplocks to pack similiar items togeter, like t-shirts in one, sundresses in another, etc. but I always end up with a mess in the suitcase mid-trip.

I used the 1 gal. size for the kids last summer, and the 2 1/2 gal. size for DH and myself. We put outfit, undies, socks, even hairbow for DD, in the bags for each day. We fit SO much more in our luggage (squeeze all the air out) and it made for REALLY easy mornings--just grab your bag and get dressed! Honestly, one of the best tips I've gotten on this board!
