I was reading an article while waiting to get my haircut, and it was talking about the 'average' pants/jeans size in the US. So, maybe I'm just being nosy, but I thought I'd post a poll here and see if they're accurate.

Aw, come on.... it's an anonymous poll! :goodvibes

varies on the maker for me... I took my average and voted with that (a size 4). It's interesting to me that it varies so much. When I was a size 14 or so, almost every 14 would fit. Seems that when I got into single digits it varied more. Skirts and dresses are a whole other ball game for me. I fit anywhere between a 0 and a 4.

I float somewhere between 0-3. It really depends on the brand.

I am an 8. I just stopped at Panera Bread for lunch. I couldn't resist a bag of chocolate chips cookies they had packaged there! Ugh. Swim suit weather around the corner, and I am eating cookies still :scared1: ;)

I think I'd have to cut my legs off to fit into those sizes. :rotfl: I could never, ever fit into anything less than a size 6. Stupid height. :sad2:

Size 6 is nothing to complain about! :thumbsup2

The problem for me is that I'm so petite (barely 5') that usually I have to take my jeans to have them shortened. Apparently most clothing designers think that everyone who is thin is also tall! Sometimes I luck out with a girls size 14, but the jeans don't look very sophisticated.

I'd give anything to be a few inches taller and a few pounds heavier! It really sucks to be petite, and I have the hardest time finding clothes that fit right, to the point that I hate shopping.

I have been a six for a couple years now, but recently I have started fitting into fours, depending on the brand. I have dropped a few pounds over the last couple of months, although I haven't been specifically dieting.

I don't think that is sad :) Size doesn't matter, but think of how many women out there would love to be in a 6. I know what you mean about the height. I am nearly 5'10" and have never been a size 2 or 4 for that matter. How tall are you?

Oh, I didn't say I'm in a 6...that's just the smallest I've been. :rotfl: I'm slightly larger than that now. :rolleyes1 It's the child-bearing hips. Yes, I have tons of excuses lined up. :thumbsup2

I'm 5'9"

:lmao: I have them too! Like right now, why am I not out walking in this nice weather? Here I sit!

I was a 10 2 months ago. I went into an 8 last month. They are getting a tad baggy. I will be a 4-6 by June!

I wear a size 14. I'm 5'10" and weigh 165 pounds. AND I'm not the least bit embarrassed about that fact. I'm as fit or fitter than most people I know who are smaller than me, and in the end, thats all that counts.
