What size is your typical group at WDW

I was just wondering what the typical group size is for people going to WDW. Currently my group size is 2 me and my wife but when our kids were still at home it was 4. I would think that those who go with large groups must find it extremely challenging in coordinating everything that would detract from the WDW experience. So if you are a big group how do you do it?

We have done groups of 3 and as many as 15. With bigger groups we split up and I do " we are going to x at rope drop, if you want to go with us fine, if not text the group and meet with us later". I like bigger groups, way more fun IMO.

We usually have 10-12 with us on our trips. The number keeps growing as our family expands. The next trip we all go with my side of the family will be at 15 people.

ETA...planning for more people can be logistically challenging with dining and FP+ reservations, but it is also a lot of fun because there is always someone to do something with you and you can enjoy others besides your immediate family.

I've been to WDW with 7 people a few times and it was really fun!
we all just waited in the lines together and goofed around.

I hope this helped!!

We are 9. Two families. Mine and my sisters. My sister is the planner. And she goes more often than us. So she reminds me of booking windows. We talk about any reservations for meals we might want to do. And then we try to match our fp. She doesn't mind letting me do some things that I prefer since she goes for several long weekends throughout the year. And we only go for one trip a year. They usually leave the park after lunch and we stay. and then we meet up somewhere else for dinner and/or another park. So we aren't together 24/7.

2. My mom and I have been doing annual mother/daughter trips since I was a kid. I am now 35.

Last year I went with a friend and we met up with my Dad, step mom and some extended family a few times. So for a few rides we had a party of 8. But it was a super causal "we are in the same park, let's meet up for a bit" kind of thing.

I go alone a lot or with one other person that is a very good friend to me.

We have a group of 10 for the Halloween party. Otherwise, it can be anywhere from 2-6. We live in Florida, though, so it is usually a tossed together, Hey-you-want-to-go, two or three day event.

For my honeymoon this December it will just be me and my soon to be wife! After we start a family I wouldn't mind going with another group. Maybe one night/day one couple can have all the kids and then trade another day

Now it's just the 4 of us. The first few times were 8 ( the 4 of us, my parents, sis and her husband) but that ended up,not working well.

I've gone with 5 twice, 6 several times, 9, and 12. I've never done it with just my nuclear family (well, when I was a kid I did it with my family then, but that's 7 of us too!). It's a lot of fun to share parts of your trip with friends or family; especially to have the grandparents along.

FP+ made our trip of 12 a bit easier in a way because I would never have been able to tell everyone where to go next - we'd have been standing around saying "I don't know, what do you want to do next?" and battling opinions. Having FP scheduled (not many were involved in the scheduling plan, but they knew there was a schedule for shorter lines) made it easier for people to follow me and stick with the plan and reduce stand-around time. It's also nice if you have differing ages and interests - there's always SOMEONE who will ride/watch something with you while a group with different interests splits off to do something else.

I do really look forward to a time when I can go with just my nuclear family, as moving about the park can definitely be s-l-o-w with a group! Counter service Meals and bathroom breaks can be a pain, too :(

We have been as small as a group of 3, and as big as a group of 7. Most years we are either 4 or 5.

I will say, when we were a group of 7, it was a royal pain getting everyone on the same page. Even at 5 it was a challenge. The trip seems to be smoothest as a group of 3 or 4, but then when we are 3 or 4, it is DW and I, and one or two of the kids. When we are 5, or 7, there is always someone from outside of our nuclear family, and I think that is part of what makes it more of a challenge.

Usually 3 of us, but have been as many as 7. The easiest trip ever was when it was just me and DH.

150.

No, really. I am a tour director for high school bands and choirs.

But of course other than rounding them up when it's time to report for a parade or other performance, and at the end of the night to head to the bus lot together, I am effectively a solo traveler. I do help them organize their MDEs so they can tour in small groups together. I'm nice that way. Hah.

Anywhere from 2 - 9. :) It depends on how many family members (extended) are planning to go.

First trip- 2 DH & myself
Second trip- 5 DH, Myself, my in laws and my sister in law
Next trip- 3 DH, myself and my brother (it will her his first trip)

I love exposing new people to Disney :jumping1:

2 on most trips. Normally just my DW and I.
5 on some others. Run Disney Events.

We will have 6 on one of our next three trips as we are taking my niece, nephew, DS and DBIL. It will be my 9 y/o niece and 4 y/o nephews first time going. We made them 3 coupons for their birthdays (both a few days apart in April) for 1 free pair of Mickey Ears, 1 custom Magic Band and 1 random item along with paying for them to go on the trip itself. :thumbsup2 We are hoping that they have a good time but they tend to get over stimulated pretty quickly which puts them in shutdown mode. We have resort pool/nap time built into our daily itinerary to keep my DS & DBIL sane.. :rotfl2:
