What size car should I rent?

OK - can you believe it - I've never rented a car before?!?!

I'll be taking my parents to WDW next summer w/my 15 y.o DS. Usually my son & I just rent a towncar and stay on property all week. This time, we'll be going to different places as well as WDW - driving over to Clearwater to see our old neighborhood, my "old" law firm, etc. We may even go to Kennedy Space Center.

Soooo - what size car should I rent? I've been reading up on mousesavers re: how to work the codes. After my eyes uncrossed, I think I'll get that part sooner or later.

We'll have basically 4 adults w/4 suitcases. Your thoughts/opinions are much appreciated!!

If it were me, I'd go with a full size. Should be plenty of room and you can usually find some good prices.

If you will be driving a fair amount a full size would be nice...an intermediate would do....lots of upgrade coupons around for free upgrade from Int to FS anyways....there would be plenty of trunk space in either size for 4 suitcases.

I have found relatively little correlation between the size car I reserve and the size we end up with at MCO.... I have reserved a compact for the last 4 or 5 visits and have wound up with 3 SUV's and a full size...and that doesn't count Emerald Aisle rentls where we could pick our own!!
