what size car rental with wheelchair

I will be renting a car and having a wheelchair. I am unsure what size car I should rent in order for the wheelchair to fit in the trunk. I am looking at national rac. I have the option of renting midsize car which would be equivalent to a toyota corolla or a standard car which is equivalent to a chrysler 200. I would prefer to do the midsize because it is cheaper. any help would be appreciated.

I have a wheelchair and it fits in the trunk or the backseat of my Ford Fusion without any problems. I think a Fusion is a midsize. I am not sure how big the other trunks are, but there is extra room with the Fusion, so I think anything over a subcompact with be OK.
