What are the age of your children and what size of bed they sleep in (twin, full, queen, king)?

We were having a discussion at work and I want to see if the DIS members give the same answers as my coworkers.

they all have twins, the girls have bunk beds. They are small they dont need bigger beds at this age.

Right now, he's one and has a crib :) But when he's too big for that he will have a double bed. When we moved in, all our family gave us their spare furniture. So we have 3 bedroom sets, all with doubles. It just made more sense to use that for him that to buy all new stuff.

DS is 2.5 and is in a toddler bed with the crib mattress. I normally think they are a waste of money however when he refused to get in the crib anymore and didnt have the money for bed and mattress we got him it and he will stay in it until 4 or 5.

DD-5 on saturday- has a twin bed, has been in it since age 2 when we took down the crib so we could use it for Alex in a few months. My mom is getting her a day bed for her bday though.

my son is 16 he has a queen. I had twin bunks when the boys were younger, but when the older one went to college I replaced my set and he got my my old one.

DD8 has a queen size bed and has since she left the toddler bed.

It was easier for us as we already had an extra headboard & frame and our bed and the guest bed are also queens so all the sheets are interchangable.

My daughter is 11 and has a single bed. At that age, I had a single bed as well. When I was 14, my parents bought me a new bedroom set with a double bed. I suppose when my dd is around that age I'll get her a double or queen bed.

Three kids, 14, 18 and 20, all have twins.
The oldest is in a dorm Sept-May in a twin.
The second leaves in Sept for college too.
Why buy larger beds for them now? They sleep in twins at college.
They will buy bigger beds for themselves when they are working and/or (hopefully) have places of their own.

DS is 18 and has had a double since he was around 12. DD is 13 and she also has a double.

DS (3) is in a toddler bed. The crib coverts to a toddler bed, then a full size headboard. 42", 40ish lbs.

DN (13) is in a twin size bed. 5'2", 100ish lbs.

My boys each have a double/full bed and have since they left the crib. They are 11 and 15.

4 kids, 3 are in twin size and 1 is in a full/double size. The only reason she has a bigger bed is because I inherited a bedroom set from my grandparents and that's the size mattress it takes.

My son is 12 and has a single bed. My daughter is 9 and has the bunk bed twin over double. She always has the friends sleep over, so it is fitting..;)
My son just takes over the basement with his gang. Who needs beds.

DS14 has a queen size bed
DD10 and DD16 have twin beds because they share a room

DS9 has a twin
DD11 has a quenn that was mine in high school. She has had it since moving out of a toddler bed. We have no guest room so her room doubles as a guest room and she sleeps on a twin matress in the floor when we have company (the price she pays for having hte bigger bed and therefor room!)

My 10½ year old has a twin bed.

My 13½ year old son went from a crib to a full size bed...stayed in that until he was 6 and wanted a loft bed...switched to a twin at that point for 6 years, and then when we moved, we had to buy him a new bed and figured he would be growing soon and would need the extra space. He hasn't proved us wrong - he's grown approximately 9 inches in just under 2 years and isn't done yet.

6yo DD has a double/full bed

4yo twin DDs have twin beds

DD9-full
DD7- twin bunk beds
DS2 still in a crib but will be in a double eventually. His room is a little small but our kids are so tall I cannot imagine making him sleep in a twin as a teenager. I can still remember my 6'4" brother sleeping in a twin bed:rotfl2:
