I want to get my son a new baseball bat and surprise him.

I'm thinking of getting him an EASTON Stealth.

What size?

He's 11 years old, 95 lbs. and 5'1" tall. He plays all-stars.

His current bat is 32/19 with a 2 1/4" barrel. Do I go bigger because he is?

Some leagues now limit the size of the barrel. I think 2 1/4 is about as big as you can go.

As for the length/weight issue....the 32/19 sounds about in the right area. The main thing you want is a bat that your son can swing without problem. Bat speed is MUCH more important than weight. You want him to be able to get the bat through the hitting zone easily and quickly.

I think when I played in college I used something in the range of 34/24.

My 7 year old son has a 26/16.

Go to a GOOD sporting goods store and see if they have bats and a cage that he can test.
