Take a couple cans of sweet potatoes. Drain off the liquid. Mash them into a casserole dish. Combine 1/2 cup of crushed pecans (or walnuts would work) with 1 cup of brown sugar and sprinkle this in a layer over the sweet potatoes. Cut some very thin pats of butter and put them over the nut mixture. Microwave it for 10 minutes. My 2 year old loves it, so does just about everyone who I've made it for.
