Our reservations start on a Saturday. Check-in time is 3:00 pm. We are about 14 hours from WDW. We have 3 waterpark "plus" days left over from our last trip, one hopping day, and one day's regular admission. We're staying 8 nights. It'll be in September, so waterparks will probably close at 6:00.
Here are the options:
1) Leave for WDW at 5:00 or so, when hubby gets off work. Spend the night somewhere, get to our hotel around 3:00, rest or go to the pool and then go have dinner.
2) Leave for WDW at 5:00, drive straight through by taking turns sleeping/driving, get to the hotel early and use one of our waterpark days.
3) Try to sleep, leave around 1:00 am, get to the hotel around check-in time and hang out at the pool for awhile.
I like option #2. I'm not a big waterpark person but also don't want to take time away from the waterpark for hubby and kids.
Any other advice?
Anita
