What should we do with our one shot at "Summer Nights"?

We arrive in Orlando two weeks from today :cool1: on the second-last day of "Summer Nights". We will get into our two-week rental home at 4, and we'll need some down-time. (We will be up around 3:00 Orlando time to get our flts.) SeaWorld is open until 10. We have 14 day passes so there's no pressure to "get our money's worth" from the park day.

So, if we arrive at the park at, say, 6 or 6:30, what would you suggest for a plan? "Sealions Tonight" is the show we really don't want to miss, and it's at 8:00. Shamu Rocks is at 9, but honestly if it's loud and showy, it might be too much for us (especially in our sleep-deprived state). We'd also like to see the fireworks show, but I don't see that listed on the schedule--is it just at close?

Our favourite ride is Atlantis, will it have much of a wait? We haven't seen the turtle exhibit or the penguins (obviously), should we try those or wait until we can come back with more time? We won't be lining up for Kraken or Mantis, too scary for us!

It sounds like you have been to Seaworld before, have you seen a good majority of the day shows? Sealions Tonight is a spoof of the Seaworld day shows so if you have never seen the day shows, Sealions tonight will be very difficult to follow or enjoy.

The fireworks are now part of the finale of the Shamu Rocks show. You can probably skip the Shamu Rocks show and just watch the fireworks from the waterfront area, but it won't be the same experience.

Atlantis shouldn't have that long of a wait as most people will be waiting for Antarctica and other shows at that time.

We have seen most of the shows last time we visited, but that's 2.5 years ago. I thought it'd be nice to see the regular sea lion show first, but the last show of the day is 5:00 and it would mean double sea lions on our first day... We will remember the general idea of the sea lion show I guess but not the details. So...hoping it'd still be fun. :confused3: Do you think?

The only other chance we'd have to see "Sealions Tonight" and the fireworks would be if we went Sunday night instead of Sat night, and honestly, the kids are going to want to hit IoA on Sunday. We will get back to SW during the trip, hopefully multiple times with our 14 day pass...but the timing is difficult with the extra Summer Nights shows.

The Sealions Tonight show will spoof the Blue Horizons Dolphin show, Shamu One Ocean show, A'lure the acrobatic show, Pets Ahoy the dog and cat show and some rides and attractions. I think it can still be fun and if you don't understand a part, its all the more reason to come back for another day to check out some of the day shows.
