What should we do on the night we arrive?

I think I'll have to make an ADR. I totally forgot that it's going to be packed.

I am concerned that she will be afraid of the characters plus she only knows Mickey and Minnie.

Thanks for the tip on joining Landrys Select

Burnout plan for you. If everyone is tired and cranky from travel and you need something quick, I would recommend the Earl of Sandwich. When my daughter was 3 she loved the kids choices (pizza sandwich) and it was nice to sit outside while we ate.

Haha, always good to have a back up plan! I have also heard of people ordering pizza and having it delivered to the hotel, which might be nice if traveling wears you guys down.

A tip on a good deal (if this is still available) - If you eat in a counter service restaurant in either park, you'll get a coupon on your receipt. It's good for 20% off merchandise at certain stores, if you shop before 1:00 p.m. This is their way of increasing traffic in the stores early in the day. We bought all of our stuff at the Emporium in Disneyland right after breakfast one morning and got 20% off. We spent the $7 to store it in a locker all day, and it was still a very good deal. Something to remember when planning your shopping.

I love those 20% off coupons, but I doubt they will show themselves again for a long time. They are mainly for offpeak times and now is definitely not offpeak and too much profit from all the 60th merchandise to be lost. And you could have stored all your purchased items free at the newspaper stand right near the disneyland entrance to pick up at the end of the day. No need for a locker.

I love this place. Haven't had it in DTD but I have in other places. I'll definitely make a stop here this trip

I think we're technically traveling at a non peak time so maybe we will see them. Our last trip was in December and we got them everyday. We did all of our shopping while my daughter napped

We got the coupons the week between Christmas and New Year's, so definitely not off-peak. I could see them discontinuing them during the 60th, though, because people are going to the want to buy the special merchandise. We also had a bunch of jackets that we didn't need until later in the day, so we already had the locker. Otherwise, I would see if I could have our purchases held somewhere for free. Good tip!
