Now that the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks have been added....I am trying to come up with some ideas..

Should we....

1. Hang out at the Poly (can we see them from there, if so where is best viewing area)

2. Head over to Contemporary to watch from observation area? Where is the observation area and can anyone go?

3. What time and where can we see the Electrical Water Pagent?

Just a few ideas I am trying to put together for our first night :)

Thank you!!

I would like the answers to all of these also. I will be there on Oct 14th with a 615 ps.

You can see the MK fireworks from 'Ohana's they have windows looking out at the Castle and they dim the lights and pipe in the music you hear at the MK. The EWP times can change depending upon the time of year and imclement weather. You will get a great view of it from 'Ohana's.

You can go over to the CR, take the elevator to top floor -- California Grill Restaurant. Observation Deck is off the restaurant. Yes, anyone can go -- but its limited space.

You can sit at the bar at the CG, and watch them too. They dim the lights and pipe in the music, too.

We'd stayed at the Poly last year and enjoyed watching both the EWP and the fireworks from the beach at the Poly. This year DH and I are having an anniversary dinner at 'Ohanas and hopefully snagging a window table so we can watch the fireworks from the restaurant. I think I read on the boards that they even pipe the music into the restaurant.

Anyway, I thought the Poly beach was a great place to watch the fireworks from. Of course we didn't heard the music or see Tink's flight but we also didn't have to fight the crowds either!

You can see both the fireworks and the electrical water parade from the beach. The electrical water parade starts at 9:00. In theory, you are supposed to be a guest of the Poly to be on the beach, but as long as you aren't causing a big scene (i.e. running around yelling "Yee ha! I'm not a guest and yet here I am!") you should be all right. The music for the fireworks is piped in via the resort sound system, so you can hear the music, etc. The view is clear and very nice, but a mile away.

You can also go to the observation in the Contemporary, as noted. I believe it is next to the California Grill, although I have never been there, so I'm not 100% sure. The advantage is that this is reportedly one of the best places to view the fireworks. The only disadvantage is that you wouldn't get the same close view of the water parade.

Have fun!

We had a PS for there for 6pm on October 8. When they added the fireworks last week for that night, I changed the PS to 7pm so that we would see the fireworks at 8pm from the restaurant. We did this once before and it was a lot of fun.
Just an idea.

DH and I ate at Ohana's in August and after our meal we waddled (;)) out to the beach and watched the firework from there. It was really nice sitting out there, listening to the water, while waiting for the fireworks to start. :)

We watched the fireworks from the Contemporary observation deck once after dinner at Cali Grill and it was pretty crowded...but it was in June, so maybe that's why, too.

I really enjoyed watching the fireworks from the beach. :)

We've done all of the above and enjoyed them all very, very much -- MK fireworks are always wonderful! The most recent was the Poly beach, which I though was very special. The beach area is quite large, and has hammocks and many chaise lounges, so if you get there early, you can grab a comfortable spot and relax with the beverage of your choice. Some of the lounges have the covered "hood" over the top part --- sorry, can't remember what they're called --- which can give you a lot of privacy. Are you getting the picture?

Have a great trip!
