What should I wear in October?

It was still very warm there last Oct. Over 90 during the day. We wore summer clothes the whole trip.

After Hurricane Wilma passed through last year in October it was freezing!!! We were there Oct 23-30.

Bring jeans, short sleeve shirts, a light-weight jacket, sweatshirt, and a hat to cover your head and ears. We would wear jeans and t-shirts during the day with a light-weight jacket wrapped around our waists. By dusk, believe me we needed it! Keep the hat and a rain poncho in your travel bag just in case!

Definitely shorts & T-shirt weather during the day - maybe a long sleeved top and pants for the cooler evenings.

As for swimming - we usually go the first 2 weeks in October and we've always taken advantage of the pools (but then we're from Canada and the weather/temperatures in Orlando in October are very warm compared to our temperatures).

As for rain gear - we found that just a light rain jacket was fine for the days it actually rained for more than 5 minutes.

We travel in wind suits, then we have a light jacket and pants for cool mornings and evenings. They are great to travel in because it you spill something, just blot it off.
