what should i get to eat at sci fi?

I really liked the Barbecue Chicken Sandwich with the onion rings. I also thought that the chili was pretty good, and you definitely can't go wrong with the milkshakes.

We ate there last year with a group of 16 in 3 cars. We were on the free dining plan, so I think between us we ordered almost everything on the menu. Everyone said the food was great, except my son. His burger (plain) was burned and dry. Of course, he didn't tell me this until we were getting ready to leave, or I would have sent it back. Most everyone loves the burgers, so I think this was an isolated incident.

I thought the ribs were pretty good, but they had some strange taste I could not identify. It wasn't bad - just different. I don't think I'd get them again. My husband loved the chili and the shrimp pasta. The BLT soup and spinach dip were awesome. I'd like to just have those for a meal. I tasted my daughter's ham sandwich and it was really good.

We tried all of the desserts and they were just awesome!

Plus, you just can't beat the cool drive-in theater atmosphere!

We're going to skip Sci-Fi next trip to try 50's Prime Time Cafe on our next trip, but I am sorry we won't have time (or money or DDP credits) to do both!

GET THE REUBEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p OMG one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my entire life - it was SO YUMMY! You will not regret it :thumbsup2

I was thinking of trying Sci Fi in Sept. so my DD6 could enjoy the inside. I think she would get a kick out of sitting in the cars and watching the movies. My mom and I ate there years ago (I think it was 1998) and haven't been back. We didn't like it very much. I think we had onion rings (I remember they were good) and a hot fundge sundae that was made with soft serve ice cream and by the time it was served, it was half melted. :confused3 We returned it to the kitchen. Do they still make the hot fudge with soft serve? Or is it hand scooped?

I was thinking of the two adults sharing appetizer and maybe a dessert (OOP). My DD could have a kid's meal if she was hungry. Or maybe we could all (2 A, 1K) share onion rings, burger, and sundae for a mid-day snack. The shakes sound good too. Does a shake count as a dessert on the DDP?

After 8 years, I think it's time to try it again. :)

Another vote for burgers/rings/shakes:earsboy:

so i told my DBF today, " the people on the disney board said that we should get onion rings, burgers and milkshakes when we go to Sci Fi. so im letting you know now you are to order onion rings burgers and a milkshake. maybe i'll allow you to order a coke instead " he looked at me like i was crazy. i know you people wouldn't steer me wrong. :thumbsup2 and then i said, " tomorrow i have to go to home depot to get my lime green mickey heads for our luggage and bags. he looked at me as if i told him that i was speaking another language. is it bad that when i refer to my disney trip ( TUESDAY can't get here fast enough...!!!) that i start out by saying, " the people on the disney board said...."

We loved this restaurant for what it is. Don't expect too much and you'll be disapointed! We ate:
Onion rings
The cheese dip.. don't recall the exact name
Burgers w fries
and the dessert...i think it was the sundae.
Awesome meal. We went for lunch...this year we are returning for dinner instead.
