What should I expect?

This will be out first trip ever at a DVC resort on rented points....

What should I expect to be different from our other trips? We will be staying at OKW for a week in October......

I know that we do not get maid service - how do we get clean towels?

You would need to use the Washer/Dryer Decorations if you're staying in a 1 bedroom or larger. If in a studio you would need to find the Washer/Dryer display and use those.

You can also pay for them each day. I think they are $4.00 per day that you order extra.

Not a stupid question at all...I'm also a hopeful soon-to-be DVC owner, and have no idea either! Don't be afraid to ask anything on the DIS, you are very welcome here!!

Don't know why the sarcasm, perfectly reasonable question. 1 BRs or bigger have a w/d in them. Studios have access to free w/ds (usually by the quiets pools, ask at the desk). You will get fresh towels and trash service on day 4. (Check in is day 1). Buying the extra pack is always an option.

Actually, I don't the poster was being sarcastic. It's sort of an inside DIS DVCer joke to call the W/D and the stove "decorations", meaning that a lot of people don't like to use them on vacation, so they are there to just "decorate" the room.

I, for one, don't use the "stove decoration" much, but love the "W/D decoration"!!!!!!!!!!!!
