what should i expect??

my head is spinning from reading all the posts and it's hard to keep things seperate, help me please! some dining experiences will be easy to figure out, like liberty tavern (american comfort food), but others seem mysterious right now, such as boma, even rose & crown and mama melrose's, but the biggest mystery is the new japanese restaurant. i've never had japanese food before, what should i expect from it and the others???

I think your best bet would be to read the menus posted here or on allears, and maybe check out the food porn thread for some amazing pictures. You should be able to get an idea of what you're in for from those sources!

We love the Japanese places...we have eaten at the old TS place in Japan and it is very simple. Veggies sauteed in soy sauce, white rice or fried rice, steak, chicken, shrimp, some sort of fish all cooked on the cooktop in front of you, mostly with butter and soy sauce.

Mama Melrose is almost identical to Olive Garden.
