What should I expect when pin trading?

Hi all -
I have never pin traded before but it sounds fun so I've been buying some pins on ebay. I started with a grab bag of pins to get some to trade. Ok pins but not really worth keeping for me even though tradeable pins but not super quality like many others I have now purchased on ebay. I love most of my pins and we not trade BUT HERE'S THE QUESTION...what can I expect to see when trading. Are the pins just the cast lanyards (that I see a ton of on ebay)or will there be others, like the disney pins (I've bought many on the black cards and their pretty heavy and usually great). Are there "attraction" pins or "dining/restaurant" theme pins?

I just want to have an idea what to expect. Thanks.

I've been trading for a few months now and when trading like from pinpics you can accept a trade or disline is and not trade but basically you trade for the pin you want like just today i traded my hidden mickey bess pin for an everest pin found only at the parks! Gl with trading and hope this helps a lil

Assuming you are referring to trading on WDW property with cast.
You will see a variety. Unfortunately lots of them are cheap pins, such as cuties from sets, or cheap Spain pins, etc.
However one person's trash is another's treasure.
When even buying traders my goal is to at least buy only what others may want, rather than something just to unload. Which I think many do.
Consider if everyone just unloads pin clutter, then that is all the CM lanyards have to offer in trade.
