What should I expect on Southwest?

This will be my first time flying since covid and I will have a 5 hour cross country flight. I'm just wondering how they are doing things with eating and drinking. Are you allowed to eat and drink? Do they still provide food and drink? How are they doing this with masks? My nephew said on the airline he took you could only pull down your mask to take a sip or put food into your mouth and then you had to pull your mask back up right away. Is this how Southwest is doing it? TIA

From recent SW flying. You get a cup of water and pretzels or something. Your mask only down when actively eating or drinking. Yes, they do strictly enforce as they should. And no wearing mask under your nose...

You can take your own food on but same mask rules apply.

It must depend on the flight. They did not strictly enforce the actively eating rule on our flight 2/28/21 and you were allowed to bring food on so hypothetically you could spend the entire time “actively eating” and not wearing a mask. They just reported that they are going to get less strict soon as well.

Only water, no soda?!

Flew Southwest 3/20. Water, Coke, Diet Coke were the drink choices. That and a snack. Full plane and there were quite a few passengers who did not cover their nose and some wore it down on the chin. Never heard a crew member mention anything to them.
