What should I do???

I would say by his own example. By not paying the debt and only addressing it when the courts forced him to is an example of not paying your debt. The man is 37 years old, he should have learned some responsibility by now. I think he is looking for any excuse not to pay this debt and still go to disney world. It doesn't matter that the trip is a gift and includes $1,000 in disney dollars. You and I both know that he will over spend that $1,000's. He could put the trip off and use it as a reward for when the debt is paid off. :love2:

I just love when people make totally insulting, judgmental statements, then put a kissy-face smiley at the end to make it all better.

Oh, I almost forgot: :love2:...

Maybe you would like to make a contribution to the cause? :love2:

Wow, lots of grumpy people here for sure, with no compassion whatsoever.....

To point out a few things - the $1000 is Disney Dollars - which cannot be exchanged one-on-one for cash. If he doesn't go on the trip - those Disney Dollars can NOT be used to pay down his debt.

Looks like mom and dad have DVC points that they have been gifting their son. Nothing bad about that. They would expire if the parents didn't use them.

Carry on. :love2:

What?! Grumpy people? You must not have noticed the nice smilies at the end? Surely that negates any rude, hurtful things a person wrote, right?

Oops, almost forgot again: :love2:

OP, how did you make out? Did you call? I can understand you being scared to come back, but some of us actually do care.

Actually, last I heard, you can exchange Disney Dollars for cash. Maybe, though, now that the Disney Store is owned by Children's Place, you can only do that at the parks? I would spend less $$ on food and cash in the extra. My DH and I had some nice dinners - Narcosees, Le Cellier - and still managed to come under about $75 per day for two people. No souveniers, and from a ten day trip, they've got $250 left for the debt.

Maybe the people we think are grumpy, just don't know how to use smileys! :guilty:

Some love for the OP

Oh is THAT what those smileys at the end of that kind of message are for? Here I was, thinking they were just being passive aggressive.
My bad!

:love2: :wave2: :earsboy: :thewave:

:ssst: :drinking1 I'd use smiling smileys but hey I like to be different.

So OP do you have an update for us?
