What Should I Do???

Well, I've joked that I was a psuedo-frat boy & all, but I was offered to be a "prospective candidate" for Psi Beta. Granted it's an academic frat (WTH do they want with me? ), but I guess I meant their GPA (3.0) requirements & the like. I'm only taking 1 class this semester.


The meeting is Tonight ay 7pm (which means I'll have to either tape Friends or Push, NV & get someone, maybe, to tape the other). I've already technically graduated (with two 2-year degrees), but it would be nice to belong to a frat if I do choose to go to a 4 year school in the near future. Plus it would be great to have some possible business contacts & maybe even meet some friends (a bonus if they don't suck like the current batch I have )


Here's the rub:
This came in the mail on Monday.

Tuesday I was talking to a friend (the airport friend one if you're keeping score) & she was depressed because her roommate set her up with someone she worked with. All was going great & then he turned into a jerk. She was feeling down, so I asked her if she wanted to hang out, she said "how about Thursday?" & I said "ok, but after Friends"

Late Wed/early Thursday I check the mail & found the letter.


What should I do?

The real question is why are you still at a community college when you've already got 2 degrees?!

To answer the question you asked, you should go to the meeting and reschedule with your friend. You're a nice guy to be so concerned about it though.

Kudos on staying friends with the girl, I know there are a lot of DISers that insisted you drop her like a lead balloon.

I'm taking a class in Flash. Unfortunately (or fortunately I suppose) only the community college is school in the area that leads the way with graphics & multimedia applications. The university is great for traditional art & graphic design, but when using the computer, the juco can't be beat. A friend of mine went to the Art Institute (& was paying close to what he would've if he went to an Ivy league school) & he was learning programs that were 3 or 4 years behind what we were working on.
