We spent Easter Week in WDW. We had 10 day non-expiring park hopper passes and we now have 4 days left on them.

Next August, my husband's whole family want to go to WDW for a few night before we head over to the West Coast of FL.

My question..we plan on staying at PORFQ for 3 nights. Most of the family wants to do the dining plan. Since we already have our park hopper passes paid for..waht are our options?

Just get the one day base and use it on this trip or save for another time.

If I do the math, a one day base for 2 adutls and one child is just about
$200. Then I have to buy 3 days worth of dining for $270. So I woudl really be spending $470 to have the dining plan for 3 days and still have 2 days of park passes left.

I am not sure if it makes sense to do.

I was always excited to have days left on my park hopper tix... that means you -have- to come back to use them :)

Just glancing at debs all ears... she's got the pricing for 4 day park hopper, no exp for 2 adults and 1 child at about 879 dollars... which breaks down to just about 220 per day to get into the park for the remaining life of the park hopper. So spending the 200 to get the 1 day ticket will actually be a little cheaper by about 20 bucks, in my estimations!! :)

Except really you probably wouldn't buy another 4 day park hopper, you'd probably buy another 10 day when the first park hopper expires... the 10 day is a total of 1287 for your family, which is just 128.70 per day. Sooo if you are only going to buy 10 day park hoppers, then you're actually losing like 71 dollars if you buy the 1 day ticket for 200.

However... it's hard to say what the dining plan is actually -worth- to you. Everyone says they feel like they save money on it for the amt of food you get. But maybe you would prefer not to have all that food anyways? Or maybe you do like to have all the food and it would actually save you over 70 dollars for your trip? Hhrrrmmmm....

I guess maybe just decide how important it is for you to have the dining plan and don't worry about the ticket prices so much. If you've enjoyed the plan in the past, go for it! If you felt maybe it wasn't for you, then maybe just use the park hoppers up?

Hope this helped some! I think I feel more confused....... LOL :) I'm sure whatever you decide, you'll have a fantastic trip!! :)

Thanks. I have never been on the dining plan. With going in August when it is so hot, I am not sure that we will even want to eat that much food. I know when we there a few weeks ago, we mostly grabbed counter service and were fine.

The dining plan is great! Go for the one-day base ticket and save it for your next trip (you are going back, aren't you?)
