Hey,
I have never been to WDW and my dad wants me to go on The Tower of Terror, from what i have heard it is really scary. I dont want to hurt his feelings, what sould i do?

You shouldn't be forced to go on anything you don't want to. If you don't want to go, dont.

You don't want to let your fears get the best of you. Trust me, you don't. If you have never been on it before, I suggest you give a try. If you don't like it after you have tried it, let your dad know and he should understand for future times.

The Tower of Terror is a very fun ride. I rode it years ago before they changed the drop sequence. I was about 8 years old then and I did't want to go on. I cried and shook like a leaf lol. I am very glad I tried it! Because the scenery is very realistic, it can be scary...due to the nerving anticipation. Once you are on the ride and once you exit, you will say to yourself, "WOW"! Many many people fear this ride, yet many many people LOVE it. Sometimes it is what you fear that is the most fun.

This reminds me of a time when I went to 6 Flags. I didn't want to ride Superman...and once I got there and saw it, I told my dad I was not going on. (This was last summer and only he and I went). I have a fear of heights and looking at that thing solidified my "no" lol. He didn't hold back for me, and kept moving right until he sat in the car. I had no choice but go on. I was shaking so hard, complete strangers asked if I was okay lol. Once the ride was over, I was EXTREMELY glad I went on. It was a blast! (sure, I had my eyes closed going up that first big drop) but talk about air time! My dad forced me (kindly) onto every other ride that I refused to go on and I loved each one more and more. Anyway, the point of this anecdote is to show you that you can not be too certain about things unless you fight your fear and try something at least once.

Since you haven't been on the Tower of Terror, you don't know for certain how scary it is. Just try not and think about fear as you walk through the lobby and boiler room. And remember, it is Disney...everything is safe, fun and enjoyable! The magic is always on your side!!

I say go for it and show your dad how brave you are! I can almost promise you, you will love the ride! Go and experience some good ol' Disney magic! ;)

Like Munky said if you don't want to go on it you don't have too....

I agree and that was very well said, by the way! :goodvibes

It is an incredible ride and even I (being a chicken of heights) love it! :cloud9:

Be afraid. Very afraid.

Bwahahaha!

I was terrified of it too, but found it to be really fun! I think your dad will understand if you don't want to go on it, though.

you should just try it. Thats what i did and im addicted to it now, its so much fun!!!! its not scary at all!!!

I say you should just give it at a try. What do you have to lose. If you dont try it you will always wonder. :thumbsup2

you should go for it, i was a big chicken of roller coasters like 5 years ago....it took me 2 years to work up the courage to ride Millenium Force (coaster at cedar point 310ft) but now i have riden it 105 times as of last monday and im a part of ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) so thats proof enoguh that all it takes is one good expierence and you will be hooked!

if you don't want to go you shouldn't have to i hate it when people make me go on rides. but word of the wise I went on tower of terror and the top of the ride is absolutely terrifying when the ghost are walking eerily toward before the . . . DROP!!

I just rode it for the first time last year. :teeth: This little kid and I (I was 14 then) were freaking out in line. :rotfl: But, hey, I loved it! And I'm the kind of person who has a heart attack over the fall on Splash Mountain. ;) (Which is one of my favorite rides :thumbsup2 )

But, you shouldn't ride unless you feel like your 'ready' for it. That's what I did. Then again, I agree with the others. You don't know until you try. You might even like it! :thumbsup2 Do what ever feels right.
