What Should I Do About...

My family opted to pass on Park Hopper because I scheduled one park a day, and so much time is wasted on transportation. We had it last year and didn't even hop once.

But last night, we were trying to think about when we would unload our camera memory card. I know Magic Kingdom has a photo place, we did last year, $12, about 20 minutes and they throw your pictures on a cool CD. That's fine. But this year we will be staying longer and taking more pictures. I really liked the cool Mickey CD they put the pics on and wanted to get three of them made up. Our card holds about 160 photos (7mega pixel photos). Well, we only plan on going to MK on our second and third days in WDW. We can get a CD made up the first day there, but after that, there's no way we'll fit 4 more days on one card. Now, I know you're all just thinking that I should just buy another card. But they're like $80. And I really wanted the cool Mickey CDs they put the pics on. So, silly question, I don't suppose they'll let me run into MK, just to the photo place, without a park hopper, huh? I know, stupid question. I wish they would though! And I know that they have a service at MGM too, but they just send your card out to the one in MK and it doesn't come back for hours. I could never be without my camera for hours! I guess I'll just have to buy another card. Maybe just a smaller one to last while MGM sends out the big one.

Blah blah blah, I know, I'm sorry, I'm silly. I guess I just needed to vent. Any advice?

:confused3

Umm...yeah....I'm sure they'll let you into the park for free.

Buy another memory card. The prices are dropping daily.

YAY!

I thought so!

I wonder if they'll let me sleep just one hour in a Contemporary suite if I say I just need to take a quick cat nap and not need a whole night! Ya think??

:rotfl2:

(hanging my head and writing "memory card" on grocery list)

I would definately buy another memory card!

I cant beleive none of the other camera centers make a digital picture Cd.

I KNOW!

They should have one in every park!

I guess what it comes down to, is, would I rather spend the $90 on adding the park hopper, or on buying a new memory card. And a memory card I can keep forever. So I guess that's what I'll do!

Thanks for tollerating my boring vent, guys.

Has this changed, then?

Animal Kingdom had a photo center in the front that made photo-cd's. I beleive EPCOT did at well, but I can't remember the store name. This was back in September, and we got a CD made at each of those spots.

REALLY??

Last I knew, it was just the one in MK, and the one in MGM that sent out to MK.

If anyone finds out for sure that there are others, please let me know! I'm gonna look into it more.

It says in www.allearsnet.com:

In Epcot: ImageWorks - Imagination!
Animal Kingdom: Photography Services - Garden Gate Gifts

Both have the Kodak Picture Maker Kiosks - Guests with digital cameras can print their images from a digital media card or download images to a CD. These kiosks allow guests to burn up to 120 digital pictures onto a CD or print 4x6 photo prints from camera memory card or photo CD right in the store.

We got a photopass CD made up at Epcot Photo Center, why not give them a quick call and find out.

You can also get your pics burned to a CD in the sundries shop at the Contemporary. That's where we went when the one at MK wasn't working.

What are your intentions for the photos afterwards? Are you going to be making massive enlargements that you need 7 MP worth of memory for each photo? Most cameras are adjustable -- I shoot each photo at approximately 2 MP and still get beautiful enlargements.

I don't have a great zoom on my camera, but with 7mp i'm able to zoom and crop on my computer later. And yes, I like to print out and frame, that's why I bought 7mp.
