What should I do about passes?

Ok, We're entering the final countdown! Less than a week out...and I've dinked around. DH and I have AP's and so I only booked a room getting an AP discount. I've got 3 kids (all adults in Disney's eyes) and haven't decided on what tickets to get them yet. I'm so used to the old Length of stay passes, that the new ticket system confuses me. I dinked because I couldn't decide how many days to get tickets for. Do I have time to order passes in advance or should I just wait until we arrive? We leave Friday. What would you do?

Thanks!!
Lori

Well, you could still order from Disney and get the cheaper "advanced" rate. BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR CONFIRMATION NUMBER! We had a slight issue with getting our passes at "will-call" at the MK even though we had the confirmation number. I had ordered the tickets two months in advance and when we got to about 10 days out and I still never got them, they had to re-issue them, but would only re-issue them for pick-up. I have read here though, that others have not had a problem with just having their tickets there for pick-up... since it took over a half hour for them to find and issue our tickets (it was 6:45 p.m. by now), they gave us free admission for the rest of that night and two free FP's for ANY two rides, for all 8 of us. So, in a way, it worked out fine for us!

Nope...we no longer have a Disney Store here... :sad1:
One of my problems is that we still haven't decided for sure if we're taking the kids to Universal Studios...(we haven't been off property since 1990!!)

I need to decide because it will mean the diff. between a 7 or 8 day pass. Mousesavers says you can get an 8 day pass in advance but it's still not on the Disneyworld website...anyone know the advance price for an 8 day adult (with PH and water parks)? If the price isn't that much different between a 7 or 8, we just might get them the 8 days, and we could still hit one of the parks after returning from Universal.

I don't know...but times running out.!!

I can't find an advance purchase discount price, but the 8 day gate price is $215.13 for the base ticket. A 7 day ticket is $211.94 for the base ticket.

If you're going to let the tickets expire, I'd just get an 8 day pass by calling the DRC (formerly CRO) :)

You should get your Mousesavers newsletter tomorrow that takes you to a Ticketmania discount page. The strange thing is on Ticketmania the 7 day MYW hopper is $234 and the 8 day MYW hopper is $233. You could also get a 9 day for just $2 more. With the Mousesavers discount is should be a few dollars less. Ticketmania needs orders 4 business days in advance and they will deliver tickets to your hotel. If you order today, you should have your tickets Thursday or Friday at your hotel. I'd call Ticketmania to double check that.
