(not sure if this should be here or trip reports??)

So our trip is 4 weeks out And I feel like I should be preparing a little more than what I am. I wont start packing for another 2-3 weeks. I am buying the odds and ends stuff that we need for the trip and have them in a bag for now, here is what I have-- First aid kit (small travel one from walmart)swim diapers, sun block- kids very water/sweat proof 85 SPF spray on, sharpie click-ables-4, ponchos 4 (walmart camping .89 cents) neo to go, My own sun block (is the 4 SPF dry oil for deep tanning ok? my skin type burns once then tans good but Im used to Arkansas sun and my tan is coming along very nicely) sun burn relief spray. all our clothes/shoes have been bought and are waiting in laundry basket...
I also have my notebook very organized with every day planned out, notes for each park, adrs/res#s listed out, Im kida ocd and dont know what to do next
so I guess I feel like I should have more done? I cant wait till packing time!!! If anyone could help me by maybe listing your detailed time line for preparations... oh, and we are driving, 15 hours, but splitting it into 2 days driving.:banana::banana:

I'd say a DVD player and DVD's.

Make sure you have extra Shoes.
Wet sneakers are a pain in the foot.
I love flip flops. but that's me. :3dglasses

I would (instead of actually packing) write a packing list.

I usually break it down into the following:

Clothes (a section for each person)
Electronics
First Aid
Toiletries/Personal items
In the park things
Kitchen/Food
Other

I then list EVERYTHING I want to pack in detail (number of pairs of socks, which shoes, etc.).

Then go around the house and find out what you don't have and go shopping. Finding out you need to make a special trip to buy a bathing suit the week before is not cool.

Put everything straight in suitcases (yes, even this early) that you can and get organized for what needs to be packed last minute and put that on a separate list for the morning you leave.

That should keep you occupied for awhile...

Relax and have fun!! If you fear that you have forgotten someting, most of the WDW hotels offer TONS of first aid stuff, that you would never think they would have!!! They offer things from tripple antiboitic and band aids, to Captian Morgan right there in the gift shop!! have a blast, you'll never want to leave!!

:wizard:

check out touring plans.com this site can help you plan your days out according to crown control and wait times--extremely helpful especially with kids. Make sure you understand how Fast Passes work before you get there so your family can utilize them :)

Also, remember you can bring snack food into the park. Don't feel like you must spend a fortune to go to WDW :)

Take a look around at everything you're taking and make sure you don't forget anything important that goes with them! You know, like packing the camera, lenses, cards....and forgetting the battery charger :headache: :rolleyes1.

make sure you walk miles in your new shoes to break them in!
I made that mistake before - ouch! :headache:
