What should I ask for for? (if anything at all)

We leave for our VERY FIRST DVC and VERY FIRST WDW trip (ever) on 6 OCT. Our first five days will be in the VWL. The second five days will be in the AKV.

Are their views/locations I should ask for, particularly for the VWL?

We are taking my parents who are still rather young, but a bit zoftig and could probably use less walking than more...

THANKS, in advance, for any and all advice any of you are willing to provide!

:banana:I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

VWL has a view of the woods, the woods and the woods (with a slight peek through the woods at the lake).

It's a very small resort, so it really won't matter where your villa is located.

Thanks for the info...if there isn't any difference, then I am guessing I will be THRILLED no matter where I am! :)

I subscribe to the "don't make any requests" motto and have to say, I always get fabulous rooms!

Personally, I think the CM's are secretly relieved they don't have to deal with yet another request and go out of their way to make it something nice.

YMMV

Have fun and Welcome Home!! :wizard:

If you don't want to walk what feels like 3/4 mile after a long day, ask for rooms near the elevators! My room was the second to last one and I swear the walk got longer every day.

Why, thank you! I will be sure to be extra nice to the CMs, so that we will all have an extra special first visit!

LOL. Thanks for that...I have heard that at AKV, you MUST ask to be close the the lobby, or you actually WILL add miles to your everyday walking, but I hadn't heard this about VWL...THANK YOU!

It's the smallest DVC resort at WDW. Nothing at all compared to Kidani Village and BWV.
